I read the other 2star review, the reviewer said he/she received a 12mm tool instead of 10mm. Despite that single incident, I went ahead and ordered this tool because I know there was some many five stars for this thing.

So I received the tool and bought my Craftsman feeler gauge from my local Sears. Opened the valve cover and start working. My first valve adjustment job didn't went so smooth. I figured having this valve adjustment tool would save me some time and a lot of hassles, but it wasn't. My tool said 10mm on it's package and also marked 10mm on it's body. It is in fact a 12mm in my case. It was useless and fortunately I have my ordinary screwdriver and wrench to finish the job. Put the valve cover back and cleaned my hands.

I was quite surprised about this because it received so many five stars. Amazon gave me a refund without actually returning the tool which save me a trip to the post office. not bad

Check the size before you open your valve cover and check out the pictures that I have uploaded in the Gallery. Thank you for reading

I have owned a number of Hondas and have performed valve adjustments using just a 10mm box end wrench
and a screwdriver successfully. Until I got the Honda S2000, there is just no way to fit in a 10mm wrench
on the jamb nut. This tool fits the bill perfectly, saving a lot of time and frustration.

If I had one improvement to make, it would be to change the screwdriver handle from a straight handle to
a "T" handle. That way you have more precision in the angular adjustment, as each adjustment step is
like 5 degrees for best accuracy.

The last valve clearance I did - did it with a standard non-adjustable 10 mm wrench and flat-head screwdriver. Had misplaced my valve adjustment tool.

On my Honda Accord - this was a HUGE PAIN! The exhaust valves were pretty straightforward, no real obstructions. But for the intake valves - fuel rails and other stuff was in the way, so using a standard wrench was a tremendous pain and really time consuming. Without this tool, it's really easy to move the tappet screws and be off by just a bit, and have to re-do the valve. This eliminates most error.

Really, if you're going to do your own valve clearance adjustments, do yourself a BIG BIG favor and spend the 14$ and get one of these. You'll cut your job time in half.

Lastly, I had seen a few one star reviews saying they got a 12mm tool. I can't speak to these individuals, it may well be true. 12mm tools do exist for valve adjustments (but are made by different companies it seems, or at least rebranded). Right when this arrived, I tested it on a 10mm bolt, and it fit perfectly. So, what I got was 100% a 10mm tool.

This tools makes adjusting valves CAKE. This was the first time I have ever done a valve adjustment on my GSR motor. Very simple. Why pay $50 for the snap-on tool, when you can get this tool for $12.

I used this tool on my 2006 Honda Accord and 2006 Honda Pilot to adjust the valves and it made the job soooo much easier! I highly recommend it.

I like this tool in that it has a big enough opening so that I can see the lock nut in relation to the slotted set/depth screw.

The handle doesnt really need to be that long, since the torque specs are kinda low, at least for my Honda/Acura (lightweight metals for less moving mass?) In fact, the handle gets in the way when Murphy designs the perfect storm of rocker / head angles too-near to manifolds/hoses.

One advantage to its size: it should never drop (just deep enough) down the cam belt or oil galley to cause grief.

I'm not sure if it was any better at keeping the set screw still, while locking the nut. If you're a tool elite-tist, you already reserved your 2-4 Snap-On doo-hickeys, polished and in your cute red metal box. But I am also part tool _junkie (different animal, some overlap), and altho I wouldn't say this tool is a must-have, it's strange enough to give it a go.

Well, I bought this thinking I needed a 10mm tool for my B18B head. Unfortunately, I was wrong. The jam nuts on B18B heads are 12mm. So, that was my fault.

However, that doesnt mean this deserves less than 5 stars. The description clearly states its a 10mm, and I received a 10mm. Just be sure of your heads jam nuts sizes. Most B18 heads will use a 12mm nut. This tool is well built and I am sure it will be a great tool. I will be ordering the 12mm size and just keeping this one since it will be good to have in the future.
