I bought this scraper after having paid a professional $1500 to clean and refinish 1 door and 1 window in my 1903 house. He did a fantastic job, but after watching him, I figured, "I can do that." So I started looking at scrapers that would work the profile of my trim.

This scraper is Great. It scrapes great and as it dulls, it comes with a whetstone so you can sharpen the very thick blades and get back to work.

Because they are so inexpensive, I'm thinking about buying 2 more so that I don't have to change the blades while I'm in the middle of it.

Highly recommend this scraper.

I have several paint scrapers for my current project. I thought with all the attachments I would get lots of use out of this one, but I think its better to probably just get one tool for each special application you have. The blades are ok, but I don't care for the angle of the blade to the handle. Maybe its just me but I don't "go to" this scraper first. Maybe your experience will be different. One thing I do like...it has a file stored into the handle for sharpening up your blades...so some guy was thinking on that one.

I had some rounded trim I needed to strip with KleanStrip. The contoured scraper on this tool worked great. No complaints. I upgrade from 3 stars to 4.

I'm restoring a Victorian home that had been painted only twice in 120 years before I started working on it. I bought six sets of this scraper so that I could have each blade available for immediate use while working on the ornate trim. This strategy saves me countless hours replacing blades. Kept sharp these blades work well for nearly every possible surface that you may run into.

My only complaint is that I've broken two handles already but in fairness they have all received very rough treatment as the job is huge and each blade gets a hard workout.

My second biggest complaint is that I didn't buy them from Amazon and paid nearly twice the price listed here (ouch). I highly recommend this item but if the manufacturer is watching this site BEEF UP YOUR HANDLES!
