Song playing during 'milk and children scene' is the theme from "Chariots of Fire," by Vangelis. Song that plays at beginning of credits is "Ready For A Miracle," by Patti LaBelle (you can also find it on soundtrack to "Leap Of Faith"). Hope this helps ...

3.0 out of 5 stars Tony Bennett's "If I Ruled The World" is missing!
After i saw the movie, i needed to get the music, but as some of you guys noticed:

3.0 out of 5 stars Tony Bennett's "If I Ruled The World" is missing!, June 23, 2003

So i searched and found his song "If I ruled the world".

Besides the missal of this song the score is very nice but short.
And the mix of older, more classic songs and yonger, more contemporary songs, like from fatboy slim, make this soundtrack very vital.

i'd give this soundtrack 6,5 points out of 10.

4.0 out of 5 stars Suprisingly Strong Compilation, June 8, 2003

"Bruce Almighty" surprised me as a strong film, dealing with weighty faith issues without having to be overtly religious. And to top it all off, it's hilarious. This CD is a great compilation, if a little too short. (Varese Sarabande Soundtracks are usually too short) Two great songs in the film were not included in this CD probably because the songs are from other soundtracks. Vangelis' famous slo-mo theme for "Chariots of Fire" (the "milk pouring" scene) and Patti LaBelle's "Are You Ready for a Miracle?" (end credits) from "Leap of Faith" would make a great addition to this CD.

John Debney's score cuts are very good, with his signature light-hearted, feel-good touch. A score fan can only hope for more.

Overall, a strong compilation.

Okay- What it that song? If anybody knows please help me out!

2.0 out of 5 stars Missing good songs, December 11, 2003

I can't believe all the good songs they did not include.

The best song that is playing as Jennifer Anston walks along the sidewalk with the name carvings on the trees and while in the coffee shop is "I'm With You" by Avril Lavigne which is also missing from this soundtrack.

The one playing during the restaurant scene where he doesn't propose is "If I Ruled the World" Performed by Tony Bennett

3.0 out of 5 stars Wish they had Barry and The Vines, December 28, 2006
This review is from: Bruce Almighty [Original Motion Picture Soundtrack] (Audio CD)
I wish they would have included the Barry White song Bruce uses to seduce Grace with. Also they left out The Vines' song "Outtathaway" which is played when Bruce is driving his sportscar and parts all of the cars in traffic. I LOVE that song! But the album is OK otherwise, nice to listen to at work or while driving.
