A refreshing piece of work,

This review is from: The Rod of an Almond Tree in God's Master Plan (Mass Market Paperback)
You can not read this book through to the end and not see the truth that the Auther is trying to convey. With all his points backed up by scripture, and his credible education, the reader can rely on this book as a source of truth. I particularly enjoyed the part on Passover and the time table of Jesus death and reserection. Growing up in a home where we understood that Easter had peagan roots starting with the very name, I always thought that it didn't make sence that Christians did not celebrate Passover. In this book, I saw how the Catholic Easter is off on it's time table of Jesus last days and how passover has more to do with the death and reserection then the holiday Easter could ever have. I feel that Christians have been cheated out of their Heritage in the Jewish roots. Every Christian should read this book, and books like it that depict true Christian history, and what God's plan is for his people.

Challenging and Iconoclastic,

All believers in Yeshua (Jesus) as Messiah, Lord, and God-incarnate would benefit in their spiritual walk by reading this book. A great debate sparker (the Michas's have often been accused of "heresy" by so-called "fundamentalist" Christians) as it walks the reader through the fallacy of many pagan-based Christian traditions, pointing out an accurate timeline of events in of the events leading up to the Crucifixion using information contemporary to the time and culture of Yeshua (Jesus). Before you plan a pilgriamge to Jerusalem, read this book - it'll save you money, time, and make your trip a spiritual eye-opener. Though often accused of giving too much credence to non-biblical writings the authors only use non-Scriptual sources (Midrash, Talmud, etc.) which support Scripture. Christians, do yourself a favour, read this book.

I am so thankful for reading a book that opened so many old and new testament ideas for me. As a Christian, I feel I have missed out on the culture from the Jewish feasts and how they all point to my Lord! This book inspired me to get into the Word of God and seek him with all my heart. The bible is becoming so much more than I ever dreamed it was.

G-d's plan for us is perfect to the very last detail!,

Reading this book has made me aware of how true the saying that He knows the number of hairs on our head. Every detail of His plan is so perfect, why would one not trust Him as their Savior and Lord? Ask the G-d of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob to show you the truth about Yeshua (Jesus). Read this book and search the scriptures and related teachings of the Jewish sages. I have to order more copies as I don't want to part with this one.

What do you say when an excellent book is written, and you are fortunate enough to have read it. Most likely verbalizing how excellent the book is will be hard, like it is in this book. In this book, you will discover things you never thought of. You will finally have an idea of what Paul meant when he was talking about "milk verses meat." The book will no doubt cause a change in your life and how you study. It might even cost you some friends, or make them stronger. When a book can do that.... you have found an exceptional book. This is not an interpretation, it is a synergist compilation of the Word supplemented by Hebraic thought made available to the lay person. Reading the book is a must.... again, and again.

A thought-provoking book.,

The focus of this book is mostly the crucifixion, resurrection and ascension of Yahushua.
As a prior reviewer noted; some of the sources used by the authors are not Biblical, but rather Jewish works. They are listed in the Bibliography. Some of the hypotheses in this book are not provable, like the rod(almond tree) being passed down through generations to eventually become the tree of the crucifixion. There are some real "pearls" in this book though. *The chapter on the location of the Garden of Eden and the four rivers was a new way of looking at the subject. *The authors looked at Jewish laws and customs concerning the red heifer sacrifice in connection with the crucifixion and site. *The day and year of the crucifixion was detailed and they spent some time explaining that the cross and Sunday worship originated from Constantine. The idea that the crucifixion was on a tree does have some foundation.Have you ever noticed the words used in Scripture are "stake" or "tree"? *The striking similarities of the cherubim in the Holy of Holies and the flaming sword guardians of the Tree of Life when Adam and Eve were expelled from the Garden. *Some of the physical changes in the environment at Messiah's death and the affect they had on the Centurion helps in locating the actual site and the tomb. It is true that some of these ideas can not be verified with Scripture.I think that the most important aspect of this subject can be summed up from Scriptures quoted on page 106 of this book. "Yeshua came to fulfill the sacrificial system of the Law,setting us free from the law of sin and death." This book is a comprehensive work with notes at the end of each chapter. The reader will have to judge for himself/herself the credibility of the authors and some of the sources used.

A "must-read " for those desiring to learn Scriptural Truth.,

With over twenty years of intensively seeking the Truth of the Word, Pastor Peter Michas' ministry continues to shatter the doctrines and traditions of denominational Christianity. "The Rod of an Almond Tree in God's Master Plan" epitomizes this study. His uncompromising research into our Hebraic roots provides a depth and beauty of the Word that has been lost or corrupted for nearly two millennia. Pastor Michas' ministry and this book have helped resolve many nagging questions I had concerning Protestantism. I highly recommend this book to those desiring "to present [themselves] approved to God..." (2 Timothy 2:15). -- L. Alan Schuetz

This book will revolutionize the way you understand the crucifixion. So much more than what the traditional churches have taught. Putting the hebraic roots in context makes so much more sense. No more need for "leaps of faith".

Reminds me of Romans 3:1-2 What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision? 2 Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God. As a Gentile believer who has been shedding a western mindset to better respect scripture, an awesome learning tool. I won't spoil the plot, but if you ever wondered why JESUS said it can Not be that a prophet should perish out of Jerusalem, and if you ever wondered WHY the bible talks about a New Jerusalem but it does not talk about a New London, or a New Paris, or a New New York --- buy this book and read it.
