Chet Is the best,

Wow! Is this guy number one or what? If you are interested in pure guitar genius then Chet is your man. I have even bought the guitar tab for this CD. This guy shows you that even with only one guitar you can make great music. His best album to Date! Definitely worth buying. Result

Finally, an album by the master, as the name implies. Just Chet. From Early humor (I Still Write Your Name in the Snow) to recent pieces (A Little Mark Music) to one of his many classics, (Ave Maria) Mr. Guitar is at the top of his game when he's "Almost Alone."

Almost Chets best
This is a very beautiful solo guitar album. The only reason, it's almost Chets best album, is that Solo Sessions is even greater,,,buth any way, this is a superb album,, and you will not forget bying it. Solo Sessions, were found in Chets home studio, after the genious had past away. 28 traks. Many of them greate...It`s Chets best solo work since the 50ties. You can get Solo sessions on www.misterguitar.com and www.funkyjunk

Chet's Best!,
By Michel Angelo (USA) - See all my reviews

I believe I have every album Chet recorded. This may very well be his best. Chet was in his 70's when he recorded this album. While I truly love the early Chet recordings from the late 1940's and 50's, he reached musical perfection on this CD.

I've lost my copy of this, and I can honestly say I miss listening to it. I first heard some of the songs on Charlie Rose's show on PBS, and I went out and bought it the next day. It's Chet Atkin's best work, terrific!

Almost Alone is Almost Perfect,

Almost Alone is one of the crown jewels among Chet's most recent work. A great album of great songs, I would recommend it as a good introduction to this fine guitar player. If you still aren't sure, listen to "Jam Man" on RealAudio.

Agreed--Almost Chet's Best, but still an incredible CD!,

We agree with J.K. Olsen, Chet Atkins - Solo Sessions is even better, but don't dismiss this CD. It is still features some of Chet's best playing. (Just listen to You Do Something To Me and Mr. Bojangles)
Getting back to Solo Sessions, I think what people like so much is that (except for two tracks) it is all solo guitar! Listening, you feel like Chet is right in the room with you, sharing his latest arrangement. Very highly recommended! Chet fans should also check Guy Van Duser's tribute CD, Staying On the Atkins Diet. For another exciting fingerstyle/classical guitarist influenced by Chet Atkins, as well as Charlie Byrd, Earl Klugh, and Joe Pass, see Acoustic Standards, Vol. 1 and Acoustic Standards, Vol. 2.

This is one of the best CDs I've ever heard. I loved it so much, I've bought three more and given them away to friends. Young people today have no idea what they are missing.
