This review is from: Almost Fabulous (Paperback)
ALMOST FABULOUS by Michelle Radford is a cute and fun book about mind powers, long-lost fathers, and growing up.
Fiona Blount makes it a point to stay anonymous at all times to avoid the cruel, popular girls. However, one day Fiona wakes up to find that she has the power to control people's minds, and discovers that she might have inherited this power from her missing father, a successful businessman. Along with these crazy events, the usually quiet Fiona is becoming more and more popular. Will she win over her secret, amazingly cute crush, Joe? Will she learn how to control her mind powers before she does some serious damage? Will she finally meet her father? ALMOST FABULOUS is a different type of book that incorporates a lot of British culture (due to the author's British heritage). It's a fun summer read that allows you to wonder, "what if I could control people's minds?" It's witty, charming, and definitely more than almost fabulous. Reviewed by: Amanda Dissinger |
