Almost Golf Point3 balls are the OFFICIAL ball of UticaUrbanGolf.

We find them to play authentically (with limited distance) while being soft, low density, and, ultimately, safe. They roll on asphalt, but not forever. They drive properly, but lose energy relatively quickly. We've never caused any damage (and I personally drove one, full-strength, into the side of my Dodge Caravan from about 20 feet. Not a mark, scratch, or dent.

Urban Golf scratches the soft balls up quickly. They're good for about 1 round of 18 on the asphalt and grit. The yellow color is messy. It rubs off all over our hands, pockets, score cards, etc. That needs to be dealt with ASAP. And the plastic 36 Refill Pack container was so flimsy that it didn't survive shipping. I consider both issues relatively minor.

In short: these balls work so well they have been named the OFFICIAL ball of UticaUrbanGolf.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great fun and practice, July 25, 2007
By
Best practice balls available. These balls are very durable and feel very solid when you hit them-unlike plastic balls that can break or become deformed. They follow a realistic flight path. It draws, fades, slices, and hooks just like a real ball. The bright yellow ball makes is easy to find and hits roughly 1/3rd the distance of a real ball (maybe slightly longer)-this can be good or bad depending on how much area you have a available, but even using a driver you won't need more then 100 yards. As long as there is even a small park nearby you will have plenty of room. Overall these balls are fun and will improve your golf game at the same time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect., July 13, 2007

If you want to improve your game dramatically while also saving costs, this product is a must buy. There's no need to drive somewhere to practice your swing and constantly spend money, you have the convenience of simply going into your backyard and hitting a highly realistic golf ball that only travels 1/3 the distance and doesn't break your neighbors window.

Pros-

It's yellow color makes it easier to find.

The outside material closely resembles a real golf ball, except that it's softer and yet, unlike other practice golf balls, is durable and when hit, feels exactly like a real golf ball.

It won't break windows.

It spins and curves just like a golf ball (if you hit it bad)

Cons-

It's not soft enough to not hurt someone (if it hits someone)

5.0 out of 5 stars Just as advertised, June 25, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I am new to golf and this is my first full season. I have taken lessons and the driving range tends to cost a fortune. I just picked up these balls and they are great. I have just over 1 acre of land and I practice with my Irons from one end of the yard to the other. It had really helped my play and swing.

I had other balls which look similar but they are more "spongy". This ball is much sturdier and when you hit it with the club you get that real golf ball feel. They fly great and aren't affected by wind as much as some of the other practice balls I have tried are.

Overall great product. I will probably be buying some more soon since it is a HUGE savings over the driving range to work on my swing. Plus my neighbors don't mind if one heads into their yard or towards the house since they are a type of foam. I hit one pretty hard right into one of my windows and it just bounced right off with no damage.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Product, April 14, 2008

These balls really fly far enough to show you hooks, slices, pulls, and pushes. After hitting them over my house for a few days I was able to fix some problems I was having. Its great, because now I don't have to take a trip to the range everytime I want to tweak something with my swing. My game still stinks, but who cares I am having fun!!!!!!

1.0 out of 5 stars Not an accurate picture, July 16, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
For $10 after shipping you would think the product would more closely mirror that of the picture. So am I crazy or would you expect a multi-pack of balls like the one pictured or the two-ball pack I received? Just a word of advice, evidently you can put whatever picture you want and sell something else without clearly stating that you are not actually buying what is pictured.

This review is from: Almost Golf 36 Practice Ball Refill Pack (Sports)
My husband has 2 golf greens in our back yard and he loves the way almost golf balls are perfect for him to practice his shots.

He has probably close to 200 balls, my only complaint is how expensive they are. Other then that they are great.
