A Fine Frenzied Feast of Musical Influences INDEED!
A really enjoyable (especially upon repeated playings) blend of Enya-ess celtic musical scapes with touches and tinges ranging from Tori Amos' very poetic-lyrical style to more driving U2 musical riffs. Your fingertips across my skin
Almost Lover is A Fine Frenzy's most famous song to date. But let me tell you that it doesn't deserve this title. Sure. The song is sad and it makes you feel. The mellow piano is sweet, but depressing.. The lyrics are good, but awful for Alison. Its lyrics and music cannot compare to the other songs of this album, like Lifesize, Rangers,...

A really enjoyable (especially upon repeated playings) blend of Enya-ess celtic musical scapes with touches and tinges ranging from Tori Amos' very poetic-lyrical style to more driving U2 musical riffs. I listen to One Cell In The Sea often as an ode to World Peace and a reminder of the wonder of evolution as told from the vocabulary of a very wise child. Power to well crafted pop! This is a Fine Frenzied example of studio recording and crafting still pushing the envelopes of Popular Music. Thank goodness it still exists and is even thriving!

love this song so I bought it. haven't grown tired of it yet. in fact if all songs became this song.... actually i would probably then tire of it. Good track though

Almost Lover is A Fine Frenzy's most famous song to date.
But let me tell you that it doesn't deserve this title. Sure. The song is sad and it makes you feel. The mellow piano is sweet, but depressing.. The lyrics are good, but awful for Alison. Its lyrics and music cannot compare to the other songs of this album, like Lifesize, Rangers, Liar Liar and Think of You. You can buy this song. I got the CD and I've listened to this song maybe 10 times. But it's old now. Spend your money on a better song and buy Lifesize or Rangers. You won't regret it. |
