The plant comes well packaged in dirt and a planter. It consists of about 5 leaves (or stalks) filled with gel. Stalks range from 4-8 inches and vary in width.

The only negative is the instructions it comes with are generic for all plants and assume you'll be planting it outside. What I'd like to see is directions specific for caring for an aloe vera plant and keeping it indoors.

Other than that, nothing should stop you from enjoying this.

I bought this plant about a week ago. It came nicely packed in a box. I transplanted it to a bigger pot and its doing very well. I am not experienced in house plants, and yet I was able to do the necessary things to allow it to thrive.

I have been drinking Aloe Juice purchased in plastic bottles from the health food store for about the last 3 months and have enjoyed tremendous health benefits. This is why I purchased this plant, in the hope that I will get deeper benefits if I eat the plant directly.

I think I'll be buying several more of these plants and put them in planters in my balcony. It was definitely worth the cost. I would highly recommend this outfit for their product.

Overall, I was pleased with the method used to ship this aloe vera plant - styrofoam shells and a covering to keep out the dirt - and the relative quickness with which the package was shipped. My plant arrived exactly at the date promised.

I was slightly disappointed with how the plant was shipped with three other ones I ordered, however. While it's common practice to ship all the plants together in a box, I was not expecting Hirt's Gardens to stuff my slightly tall aloe into the box to fit with all the others. As a result one of the stalk tips has been broken off, and another stalk slightly wrenched and drooping. Furthermore, its spikes have made some slight tears to the leaves of the other plants I've ordered.

3/5 rating due to bulk shipping quality. If you plan on ordering this aloe, do yourself a favor and separate it from your other plants!

A few days ago...my friend told me to buy some aloe vera to apply to my face. He said i could buy aloe pulp, the plant, or you know designer products. He said it would clear up some of my acne and some old small acne scars on my face. I decided to go with the fresh pure aloe vera gel from the plant itself instead of designer products. Well so had to get myself an aloe vera plant, I research it ...of course the reviews were completely beneficial and how it does miracles for your skin. I checked on amazon(which you all know is great Haha)No Seriously, so I picked Hirt's Gardens since it had excellent reviews. My plant was recieved in like 3 days, the plant is about 8 inches in height, 8 healthy stalks, and it was well packaged. Overall the plant and service was very good ! ! !

I ordered plant with hope that it could help my husband to heal his foot (he had a virus inside that was destroying his foot). First, the plant came so fast that I was really really surprised!!! The plant was delivered in perfect condition!!!
I cut a leave and put that juicy part on his foot and left there for all night. When we woke up in the morning we could already notice big changes!!!! Now everything is going better and better with his foot!!!

I read others reviews before purchasing this plant. The reviews I had read were good and said that the plant was packaged well for shipping. That was not my experience however. The plant arrived in a box upside down with all the soil spilled out looking like it had been through a tornado. I would be willing to believe that the plant was in good condition when it left but it arrived in a less than desirable state.

I ordered this plant because of the wonderful tings that Aloe Vera does and was pleasantly surprised to open the box and see a plant in perfect shape. This wa my first time ordering a live plant by mail. I year later..the plant is HUGE. I use it for everything!

I really was looking forward to receiving a healthy, full plant. Instead, I got a skimpy thumbalina plant!!! The other sad part, is that for the amount I paid for it, I later found out that I could have gotten 3 tall, healthy, full beautiful in "real" plant pots from Walgreens!! Very dissatified to say the least.

I ordered 3 of these thinking they would be puny and now have more than enough aloe for a long while. I will likely use the "babies" as gifts!

Arrived quickly and in perfect condition and size. I was very pleased with the purchase of a live plant from this company.
