Originally released on Rhino/Wea/Tomato as a double disc simply titled ALONE, now availabe as Vol,1 & 2. Both sets recorded at New York's Hunter College in 1976. After reading the editorial by Mr. Hadley from Grove Press, I was hesitant to grab this two volume set!!! But, suffering as I do from chronic "insomnia" and being an avid Hooker fan, coupled with the ridiculously inexpensive price of these cds, I decided to take a chance! I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED!!! This is a great set of solo Hooker! As an example of solo Hooker LIVE it, as far as I'm concerned, stands the test of time. Check it out! 'Nuf said! (P.S. Check out the reviews on the double disc titled ALONE.)
