One of the best albums I have ever heard,
By carl sanders (Texas) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Alone But Never Alone (Audio CD)
As a lover of acoustic and electric instumental music, I have to say that this is one of the best albums ever made. Every song is beautifully played and recorded. The songs range from upbeat jazz to the contemplative. Although Larry has said he was tempted to use his electric guitar at one point, I am glad he chose to go all acoustic. I have been disappointed with other so-called 5 star acoustic instumental albums reviewed here, but I guarantee you that you will LOVE this album.

BEST ACOUSTIC GUITAR CD EVER!!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Alone But Never Alone (Audio CD)
This is perhaps my favorite album of all time. Larry Carlton played his Valley Arts acoustic for the entire album and there is not a single note from any electric guitar. The songs are so smooth and emotional while being technically challenging to try to play (I tried and failed). To top that, the recording is crystal clear. When you are stressed out or just want to relax. Pop this CD in and let it bring you to another world. Thanks Larry!

One of the best accoustic smooth jazz guitar albums ever!,
By Lawrence Chow (walnut, ca United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Alone But Never Alone (Audio CD)
Larry Carlton goes all accoustic on this album and it is a terrific one. This album was really popular in the late 80s but it is timeless. Smiles and smiles to go is a classic and plays on smooth Jazz stations often. But the whole album is great. Like the track 'Pure Delight', that is what this album is...
