Boundless Enegry and Talent,
By Charlie's #1 Fan. (Palatine, IL) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Along the Amazon (Audio CD)
This an incredible album. The energy that comes from charlie's music is inspirational. He is a master of his craft! Charlie makes his violin sound like an orchestra. The range of emotion in his music is a gift. My favorite tracks are Elysian Fields, Madison Avenue and Ladera Heights. If you enjoy this album, Charlie has appeared with Strunz and Farah on several of their albums.

Charlie Bisharat has taken the violin the a whole different and contemporary level in his work with Strunz & Farah, John Tesh, and especially on this album. I think Along the Amazon is a great album and Charlie's talent combines with the sleek sound of the Zeta Jazz Electric Violin to create one of the best solo violin albums I have ever heard. In fact, I personally think he is a better violinist than Jean-Luc Ponty, but Charlie is not as well known. I am also wondering why he hasn't recorded another solo album since '93. If you like this album, purchase John Tesh, Live at the Red Rocks, in which Charlie is John's right hand man on the acoustic and electric violin. Also try purchasing any one of Jean-Luc Ponty's vast collection of albums.Note: If anyone knows how i can contact Charlie via email, address, etc., please post a review.

Why hasn't Charles done another album since 1995?! His violin playing flows beautifully and takes me to another place!

charlie bisharat is a tremendous violin player. Having played with artists such as John Tesh and Straunz and Farah, Bisharatdemonstrates the has the ability to play any style on the violin. In Along The Amazon, the use of the zeta violin plays a key role in giving a clear sound to the music along with Bisharat's precise technique. He's obviously one of the best violin virtuosos of our time. I hope he releases an album soon!!!!! |
