Ashton wants to become a screenwriter. However, he remains a discouraged dreamer as he wastes his time working at an electronics store. His best friends from high school, Mike and Amir, have their own problems; they may be forced to sell their comic book store. It isn’t until Ashton forms a loving relationship with a woman named Marissa, that he finally learns if you want a fulfilling life; you have to take the necessary first step. Written in the screenplay format to mirror Ashton’s goal, Along Route 18 is a likable homage to and parody of the romantic comedy genre.

About the Author
Michael Brooklyn was born in New York on Thanksgiving Day of 1980. Since that time, his family moved to Florida, and then to their current residence in New Jersey. It was there he graduated from East Brunswick High School, where he received the Silver Honor Roll on five occasions and was honored with the Presidential Award for Educational Excellence. The most memorable course he attended was Film Appreciation, which motivated him to become involved in the entertainment industry. Along Route 18 is his first professional screenplay, and is loosely based on his friends and the area where they live.
