Review
Traces the Lewis & Clark Expedition from its very beginning at Monticello & the White House, through Pennsylvania, down the Ohio River, up the Mississippi to the Missouri River -- on to the Pacific Ocean, & back. The highly-praised detailed maps show the Corps of Discovery s path & today s routes. Lively, easy-to-read history sections bring to life the entire journey. The book also includes: what to see today: sites interpreting the Expedition, other historical landmarks, & recreational opportunities in all of the states touched by the Expedition; & campgrounds & RV sites (public & private), lodges, motels, cabins, bed & breakfasts, & regional restaurants. The best guidebook to the Lewis & Clark Trail. --DP Books
