This Alpen Apex 10x32 Binocular (Alpen Green) is a lightweight, compact, durable Binocular (Alpen Green) providing super optical performance at an affordable price. 10x magnification and a 32mm objective lens combined with fully multi-coated, PXA phase coated, and BAK4 optical design deliver superb performance. Long eye relief of 16mm also provides comfortable viewing while wearing eye or sun glasses. The field of view is 314 feet and this Binocular (Alpen Green) has super close focus of 4 feet which is great for up-close viewing of birds and butterflies. Fully waterproof and fogproof and is lightweight at only 19 oz. net. Includes carrying case, wide neck strap and Alpen's full lifetime warranty.

Alpen Apex 10 x 32 Compact Waterproof Roof Prism Binocular:
These binocs are super. I also have a much older pair of Bushell 8 x 32's that are very nice - so nice that I have not been able to find another pair that were as good - never mind better - for less than $1000.
But these little beauties are alot less than a grand and better than several models that I have tried that cost between $1000 & $1500. They are wonderful: clear, bright, easy to use and not too heavy to hold and/or carry around.
Another nice feature is that for people who wear eyeglasses, there is a bit on each eye cup that twists open allowing one to keep their eyeglasses on. I've never had any luck wearing spectacles whilst looking through the binocs - but it works beautifully with the Alpen Apex 10 x 32 and this way, there's not much adjustment required when hubby - who also wears glasses - and I pass back & forth. Saves alot of bother.
Finally, I can focus on birds just a few feet away and still bring them into crisp focus - and I mean crisp - the details are wonderful. This is well beyond the capabilities of my old 8x32's.
The Alpen Apex 10x32 Compact Waterproof Roof Prism Binoculars were my Christmas prezzy and I am delighted - my birdwathing pleasure is much enhanced.
