This is a well made tripod. The column is moved up or down by loosening a ring, moving the shaft, and then tightening the ring which is easily done by hand. There are windage and elevation adjustments that are very smooth and allow the user to acquire the target without repositioning the tripod. The scope is easily screwed on a base that may be tilted easily. The unit has some weight to it and folds easily. With a 60mm spotting scope on it is very stable. The feet are rubber covered for traction. This is the nicest bench top tripod spotting stand I've seen. Excellent buy!

I used it at shooting range for Bushnell Legend Ultra HD 20-60 x80 (45 degree) Spotting Scope. It very easy to see diferent targets with Micro Adjustment without moving scope. This tripod hold scope firmly.

This is a great tripod made for use on a bench. The adjustments can be fine tuned in hardly no time at all. I use mine with a large spotting scope and it works great. Very easy to use. You will not be disapointed.

The Alpen Micro Adjustable Table Top Tripod is a great value. It is a stable and supportive tripod. The micro adjustment makes scanning a high power easy on the eyes and on your patience.
I have it mounted to a very large spotting scope and it maintains a steady, stable platform. Very satisfied with this product

It's really hard to find a solid and sturdy tabletop tripod, especially in this price range. This is the third one I've tried, and I think it's about the best you can expect without spending much more. I use it for a spotting scope, and at the 60X there is some vibration in the view, but it's tolerable. At less than 40X, all vibration is gone. That's about the best you can get in a $40 tripod. I'd reccommend it.

Most of the tripods that come with scopes are really flimsy, poor quality. This item is very sturdy, can be adjusted in small increments. For normal tripods the handle lever needs to be unscrewed, then you move the lever and for spotting at the rifle range, many times the movement is too big. With this tripod, you can make small movements without loosing the entire target in the view of the scope.

I use this tripod at the rifle range placed on a shooting bench and have used many others prior to this one. This sturdy, compact, solidly made tripod is a no-frills performer. The micro adjustments are really useful and make adjusting the scope to see the target on high power very easy and effortless. No bells or whistles like bubble levels or segmented legs but it serves it's intended purpose very well.

I had read good reviews about this tripod and not so good reviews about the tripod that came with the spotting scope that I bought. I am very happy with this purchase. This tripod is much better than what came with my scope. Many of the shooters that I compete with liked it better than the tripods they were currently using.

This tripod is strong enough to support my new Bushnell Spotting Scope, not crazy about the material being non metal, but being lite and strong I am sure it's worth the price.

I was expecting an aluminum tripod. The one I received has all plastic legs, leg mount, and height adjust lock. All four knobs are also plastic. It is a very light, cheap feeling tripod, and no longer looks anything like the photos on the ad. I will try it with my Konus 7120, but don't expect it to hold it steady in even a slight breeze. The tripod weighs just over 15.5 oz. If I had known they had changed it this much, I wouldn't have ordered it. It will probably go back. (EDIT) I called Alpen, they have changed the design. Very poor aluminum castings as compared to the first photos. I've posted pictures of the new model. Now made in China. Very disappointing.
