5.0 out of 5 stars Dave is a milestone.
Delta 9 was one of the first dj/programmers I had heard of back in 1994. Back then i listened to alot of DJ Tense, D.O.A. and the fresh and new Aussie Bloody fist 100% no soul release on IS records. 1993-96 Those were the classic milestone setting times of "gabber house" aka "hardcore techno". 2.0 out of 5 stars DISAPPOINTING :(
Delta Nine is clearly an outstanding hardcore gabber dj representing Chicago. However, Alpha Decay is extremely disappointing as compared to his recent live sets. It comes no where near capturing the rush of energy experienced one of his shows. So you wanna hear Delta Nine?..don't purchase this one.

Euromasters were making tough silly tracks out in rotterdam, Rob Gee made his very basic but fun (metal w/a 909)intro to the scene back then also, But Delta 9 had the complexity I loved. delta 9 had samples in Massive bulk and cruise missle speed along with the TR-909. This CD of Delta 9 bascily is a greatest hits tracklist from back then Bringing anyone who missed out on those classic vinyls back to where it all came from. Anyone listening to DJ paul or Thunderdome has they'r head up they're ... This was gabbers construction and introduction to the world. Get it, blast it, love it- THEN be hardcore.

5.0 out of 5 stars The future of Hardcore Techno will be defined by this CD, August 27, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Alpha Decay (Audio CD)
Delta 9's second release on CD is the begining of a techno stlye that is sweeping the midwest and europe. Head pounding bass, death metal guitar riffs and evil and sometimes humorus samples that will have you scambling to remember what movie they're from. And if the extremly fast tempo of this CD doesn't make your head explode the ear-shattering treble will. The Hate Tank, Hard Core Chicago, and Phreaked are by far the best tracks. I am 99% sure that you've never heard anything like this before and that alone makes it worth the buy.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Old-School Gabba and Hardcore, October 13, 2000

Yeah, Dave Rogers spins party-core nowadays, but in his prime, he mixed some mad foot-stompin dark and twisted gabba. Alpha Decay is probably the best example of his skill back in the day when he was still legitimately Hardcore. HCMF and War are personal favorites, but Hardcore Chicago and the remix are all classic Hardcore/Gabba trax. Good stuff.

5.0 out of 5 stars Delta 9, the BEST Hardcore out there!, September 13, 2000

Delta 9, in my opinion, is the best hardcore group in the hardcore scene. This music is not stop hardness, gurranteed to keep atleast your foot tapping. If you are hyperactive, like me, then you will become extremely hyper. This CD is one of my favorites. Also, I think that this is the hardest techno anywhere. The only person harder is Ron D. Core, but Delta 9 actually has beat, Ron D. Core is mostly noise, atleast the songs I heard. This is a CD to add to any hardcore techno fans' collection. The best songs are Tough Guy, Phreaked, War, Hardcore Chicago, Hardcore Chicago (Remix), and Buried Alive.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hardcore will never die!, October 2, 2002

Delta 9 (aka Dave Rodgers) is the most awesome thing to happen to hardcore ... EVER! I own 1 vinyl & nearly all of his CDs, and they are all 5 stars. The best tracks on this CD are 2, 6, 7 & 15. The cover is a bit disturbing, but isn't that what hardcore is all about?! I highly recommend that you buy ALL of Delta 9's music
