I've been proposed to twice in my life, and both marriages failed miserably. I can only imagine if I had the advice of XX and YY firmly within my grasp back then how much better I might have fared. Not in terms of increasing the number of proposals, but in terms of improving the choices I made. Great wisdom imparted here. To the uninitiated, pay heed! This new tome is worth its weight in gold (and you know how much that costs these days).

I've been in love with the same Alpha guy for 4 years. Everytime I tried to bring the conversation around to the subject of marriage, he said there was plenty of time later for that, why change a good relationship etc. etc. I just bought Alpha Male (book) and I did what it said on page 104. My boyfriend proposed. We're getting married this May. I can't begin to say how happy I am. This book is AWESOME.******

I enjoy reading in the genre on relationships, including all the recent classics, and have read tons of books over the past few years, but this is the book that has best connected with me and inspired me thus far. It fits best with who I am and have always been. The "type" of man with whom one ends up needs to be taken seriously, for he can shape and define one's quality of life in so many ways, and the lives of any children one has with him. I feel that I am in the best and most mature position that I've ever been in when it comes to making choices about relationships and am able to make them with 20-20 vision. Every woman gets to this position in life at a certain point, sooner or later, and I'm glad that in my case it's sooner. I don't agree with the theories that suggest that an alpha woman is best off with a beta man, and this book certainly clarifies why that's not true. For the alpha guy will best appreciate-and deserve-the talents that the alpha female has to offer-not only as a professional, but also in terms of the classic art of being a woman. I like this book and it provides frameworks for what I've meant since I was 17, in saying that I will only marry a "man for all seasons," or even nowadays, in my resolve that I will only "marry at the front line of culture." The "beta" type of guy can be bad news not only personally, but also professionally, and I try my best never to deal with him. His jealousy, his insecurity, his pettiness, his narcissism, are almost always self-evident. And he's usually the one trying to criticize the alpha types. Spiritually and socially, it's best to keep one's standards high and to hold out for the very best. As a scholar, I theorize masculinity and femininity, but in the end, this is how it all comes home for me.

I've known one of the authors since we were young, and believe me, she knows everything there is know about both dogs and alpha males, and she expertly states it within these covers. I want to meet an unattched woman who has read this book!

Here's a book every woman should read! While the best-selling guys' book tells how to get women in bed and dump them, this book shows women how to avoid these bad-news guys and find a man who will be a great husband, father, and life-long companion. It's fascinating to see what men have to say about what they want in a wife -- and it's not hard to follow the authors advice and start looking for the right kind of guy. Wish I'd had this book years ago!

I'm a thirty year old, never married assistant manager in a sporting goods store. I've lived with a guy I really care about for the past four years. We talked in a general way about getting married some time in the future, but nothing ever seemed to happen with it. Last week he said he wants to think things over on his own and I found out he's interested in a twenty-two year old girl. I was devastated. I read in Alpha Male the advice on page 104. And my GOD he proposed to me (not her!)!! If this isn't the coolest book I don't know what is.

This is a great book. It really understands how we guys think and act. It`s well worth reading.

Having tried e-dating ( the two main websites ) I can only say my results have not been good. The whole situation in online dating makes women seem too eager and needy about meeting a guy. This makes for a whole lot of shyness. I love what the Alpha Male book does, which is tells you how to set up the situation so those pursuers--men--can do what their instinctive natures tell them to do: pursue. The whole dating thing feels very different from day one. I've already met two quite attractive men, one in a grocery store and the other at a party given by friends of friends. Normally I wouldn't even have gone to this party since I ddidn't know anybody (except my friend I went with) but I followed the advice to the letter of getting the guy to notice you first and take the initiative himself. And it worked! I'm dating both guys and following the book's rules to the letter. It is fun and it takes the stress out of dating, something I always felt in the past. (the book even explains why this was so) So I recommend this book. I'll never go back to other kinds of dating, and maybe I'll find that one special guy for a lifetime.

What a great book! My girlfriend & I followed the advice for meeting a guy at a party. It worked great!! We met 2 really cool guys (alpha males). Read this book!!
