About the Author
Alan Feigenbaum, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER, devotes himself full-time to writing about personal finance for a variety of print and Web-based publications. His credits include regular columns or frequent features for Bloomberg Wealth Manager, CBS MarketWatch, Worth Interactive, Raleigh News & Observer, Financial Web (Stock Detective), Raging Bull, and Chapel Hill News. He's also been published in The New York Times and LA Times Syndicate, is a columnist for Strong Mutual Funds, and has written for subscription newsletters and other Web sites. Alan has covered virtually every aspect of personal money management, with particular focus on comprehensive financial planning, retirement, college funding, employee benefits, budgeting and debt management, and home ownership. His passionate advocacy of financial-services consumerism is a common thread throughout his writing. Nevertheless, he flavors his serious financial writing with a sense of humor, which he also brings to his avocation of writing political satire and op-ed-his most recent published piece appearing in the Boston Globe. Alan resides in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, where he, his wife, and three daughters all root for the Tar Heels. Alan also roots for Jesse Helms to retire and hopes that he'll take the hint when Alan sends him this book. Lita Epstein is an Emory University MBA who resides in Atlanta with her husband. She combines her business, finance, and writing skills producing and teaching online investing courses at Bloomberg.com and SmartPlanet. com on topics including Investing for Retirement, Introduction to the Stock Market and Investing, Mutual Funds 101, and Picking the Best Tech Stocks. Lita was also the editorial content director for the financial-services Web site, MostChoice.com; wrote Tip World's daily Mutual Fund Tip; and was the editorial guide for the About.com Investing for Women site. Previously, Lita was a daily newspaper reporter for the Jersey Journal, a magazine editor for Popular Photography, a press secretary for a U.S. Congressman, and an associate director for fund-raising at the (President Jimmy) Carter Center.

This book completely lives up to it's 24 hours expectation. After reading it, I feel as though I know exactly what to do with my financial plans. This book has intelligent information with quite a touch of humor to go along with it. I think everyone planning for their future whether they are old or young should definitely read this book. Take it from me, it is incredibly helpful!

This book is so helpful and wonderful. I bought two and gave one to my daughter who has just gotten married and she loved it too. A must-read for people to need to get straight with their financial planning!
