Window peeping is encouraged in this alphabet book of 26 acetate openings; a letter labels each transparent window. By pulling a tab at the bottom of the page, a blind lowers and the letter seems to melt into the illustration behind it. J makes an appropriately curved tail for a jaguar perched on a limb, while B is transformed into a baby sitting in its crib. The illustrations are flat and generic; the pull-tabs will soon be mutilated in an institutional setting. This book totally captivated my 5-year old!,

When we first saw this book in a local store, my daughter could not put it down! Murphy creates exciting pictures and images by using the ABC's. This is a great book to help your little one learn the Alphabet and create a desire for reading in a fun, non-pressured way. I recommend it for any preschooler, and I know this will be a treasured book in our family for years to come.

Both the illustrations and design of this book is not so attractive. Worse than that, the flaps are very easily torn. It is not easy to push the flaps back, even for the adult. Quite disappointed to purchase this book. The price is also quite expensive compared with the quality. Not recommend to own one if one has another better choice.
