I bought this unit online at Crutchfield.com and installed it myself. It is the second time I've ever installed my own unit and it went in flawlessly. Unlike the previous reviewer, I had no problems setting the player up. It was a cinch. I eventually bought the cd-changer for the unit and that was one cable to connect.

I highly reccommend this Alpine player to anyone that is looking for a player that looks great, sounds better, and is fairly easy to use (so long as you can read english...).

I had the unit installed by a professional auto trim/aftermarket shop. They struggled setting up or "tuning" the system. It took the tech a long time reading the manual which must be japanese reverse translated to english because it didn't/doesn't make much sense. you have to read each instruction 2-3 times. the set up is not at all intuitive so common sense and logic are not much help. once set up it is awesome. now I'm afraid to try to tweek the equalizer for fear of screwing it up. Oddly after 2 hours the tech said he was going to get this system for his car.
