Alpine SPR-69C Hi-End 6 x 9 Coaxial 2-Way Speakers

I purchased the Alpine SPR-69C to replace my stock Clarion speakers in my Nissan Altima. I have them hooked up to an aftermarket Kenwood unit and overall the speakers sounded good, but not great. They had good mid's and highs, and you can position the tweeter to the preferred position to maximize the sound in your car. Highs were good, but the bass was minimal at best. Given that these are Alpine, Type R speakers, I figured I did not have enough power pushing them to get the true sound and performance that the speakers are made for. I then hooked them up to my 4 Channel Kicker Amp, and the sound was night and day difference. The bass was deep, sounds almost like mini subs, the mids and highs are out of this world. If you buy these, hook them up to amp and you will not regret it all. You will hear sounds in a song that you have never heard before. Great speakers and I would recommend anyone to buy them if they will hooked up to an amp.

These had good overall response. If you're wanting a ton of bass, there may be someing else, but they did fantastic for me. I had them installed in a Acura Legend, and with the mounting on the rear deck, they sounded fantastic

Alpine type R series are good overall, however the type S are entry level junk, so stick with type R.

Installed these in the front of my Nissan Frontier KingCab, with Alpine SPS-600 6.5" in the rear. These complement those speakers very, very well. Highs and mids are sharp and clear, yet will thump and rattle the mirrors with only 20-watt RMS power. For the type of music I listen to -- classic rock and country -- I don't need subs nor even an amp -- these speakers are VERY efficient for something that will handle 100W continuous...

Alpines simply provide the best sound reproduction over the full spectrum -- and in this price range they simply blow away the rest...

i don't know about technical things regarding electronics.
i bought what my son told me buy.
he installed everything.
these are paired with a pioneer receiver and an alpine amp.
i do not have a sub.
all i know is i can turn up my stereo now, and it is VERY CLEAR. even when very loud.
i play piano myself, and i particularly like to hear every instrument on a recording.
these do it for me without breaking the bank.

they sound great cant wait to hear them after i get my hertz 4 ch amp hooked up this weekend

Love em, wish i had full 100 watts going to them to see if they sound even better but my amp is only pushing 72watts per channel. No biggie i doubt i would even notice. My amp is a Fosgate p400-4.
Awesome speakers, they will def be in my future car or truck when the time comes , assuming i dont blow them by rockin out lol

Installed these in my 2001 Civic when the factory speakers blew. Sound quality is great. The clarity isn't perfect at high volumes (especially when the music is bass-y), but these are a huge improvement over the original speakers. And for the price, they can't be beat!

Great set of speaker intalled them on my dodge rams front speakers and wow the clarity is great i have them hooked up to a pioneer 4200 deck and wow they kick butt cant wait to install an amp and also buy the 6.5 r series for the back doors if u want a quality speaker that blows away any 3,4,and even a 5 way speaker these are the speakers u want and u cant beat the price from amazon

I recently put these in with a higher end sony deck so they get about all the power they need. But, some bass notes hit a little funny(it's hard to descibe the noise). I haven't been able to figure out the frequency and I don't think it would have anything to do with lack of power. I mean most bass hits amazingly but there's just that certain small freq. range that throws em off and it sounds a little funny. But, overall great speakers for the price.....I do wish they had type X's because I like to stick with alpine speakers....the sony deck, although still fairly nice, was a mistake.

These are great speakers and worth every penny sent on them. I put them in my 95 Toyota Camry Le and these guys shake my car pretty well.
