Not a Big Favorite,

Before we found Alpo's "Prime Slices", my husband & I tried a few different canned dog foods to mix with the dry food we prepare for our eldest dog (who is currently 1 1/2 years old) - and "Hearty Classics" was one of them. And, although he seemed to like it o.k., I found it to be difficult to mix in with the dry food - as I like to have a nice mix of both the wet and the dry.
"Hearty Classics" without gravy actually takes on the shape of the can, so you have to literally dig it out. Then, once you have the amount you want in the food bowl, you then have to spend the time cutting & "mishing" it all up - which is not a good thing when you have 3 dogs excitedly waiting for their meals... Overall, I would not recommend this particular type of Alpo. Instead, I suggest you try Alpo's "Prime Slices", which has a very nice mix of meat & gravy - allowing you to just pour it in with the dry & give it a good stir. "Prime Slices" is not only a time saver, but is also a HUGE favorite with our adult dog.
