I purchased the fluidics showerhead after reading reviews from other sources and it's everything they say it is. I actually like it better than my old 2.5 gpm showerhead, and it's saving me money to boot.
This uses about a 3rd less water than the 2.5 gpm showerhead that came with the house, which if you consider a 15 minute shower is about 13 gallons of water per shower. Compound this daily and its about 5000 gallons of water saved per year per person. Originally my wife thought she wouldn't want one in her bathroom since she thought it would be detrimental to her showering habits, but now she uses my shower to much, so I'm back to buy another one, this time for her shower. Kudos on super saver shipping since it makes this an easy task.

This is the first low flow shower head that I have tried that gives me great flow. The spray is great and my shower is hotter longer.

I am not sure what the one post about cold misting shower was all about. This was not my experience. Fludics is based on large drops not aerated mist. I have lower pressure. (62 psi) and the Alsons 1.6 does increase the pressure compared to my Mohen 2.5 gpm head by 10 psi min.
The 4 jets shake to spread out the water giving full coverage. Oddly it uses more water than its single hole 1.6 version which sells for half the price. That one has 10 psi more force but it a bit stingy. This one divides the pressure up between the 4 holes. The large holes will make it less likely to clog up if you have hard water. Note that the head is ABS chromed plastic. The fitting is chrome plated brass. Overall you will get a nice shower if you have lower pressure and save water compared to a 2.5 gpm head. You will have to get used to the different spray pattern since it different than the traditional needle spray.

I purchased two of the Alsons 655CBX showerheads to replace units in our main two bathrooms. I tested the gpm flow on the old showerheads with a timer and a 1 gallon bucket and was shocked: 3.2gpm on one and over 6gpm on the other. These new units arrived well packaged with cloth bags inside each box to prevent scratches during shipping. Installation was easy per the included instructions, although removing the old showerheads took some muscle. I did use two sets of channel lock pliers to remove the old showerheads - one (with the jaws wrapped in duct tape to prevent damage to chrome finish on pipe) to hold the pipe extending from the wall so it would not accidentally loosen inside the wall and one to remove the old showerheads. I cleaned the pipe threads, wrapped on a few rounds of teflon tape and screwed on the new showerheads by hand (used no tool). Neither showerhead leaked and installation was done! When my family first used the new showerheads, we were surprised at the generous spray, but it did seem different from the old units. I was concerned about how the 1.6gpm would feel, but the spray pattern and flow was more than adequate. Even my 18 year old daughter with long hair has no trouble rinsing the shampoo out of her hair. And in addition to reducing my water bill, it has prevented us running out of hot water when four showers are taken back to back on Sunday mornings. For my family, these new showerheads are an excellent purchase: saves money on water bill/electricity bill and prevents running out of hot water during heavy use periods. Final note: I understand that Alsons is the parent company that manufactures Delta and Peerless faucets, so they know how to manufactures a quality showerhead.

I LOVE this showerhead! I live in a house with 3 adults who all have to get up and go to work in the morning. With the regular shower head we would run out of hot water very quickly and the 3rd person would have no hot water at all. Now all three of us can take our time in the shower and we all have enough hot water. The pressure is actually better than with our old shower head and our water bills have already decreased. Great deal for the price!

We have a family of 5 that showers each month for 860 minutes.
860 minutes (x) 2.5 gallons per minute = 2,150 gallons of water used per month. 860 minutes (x) 1.6 gallons per minute = 1,376 gallons of water used per month. We are now saving 774 gallons per month by switching to a 1.6 gallon per minute showerhead instead of using a 2.5 gallon per minute showerhead. We now save 9,288 gallons of water per year off of one showerhead. An incredible savings! This showerhead paid for itself in just a few months.

I have low water pressure, so I was skeptical. However, glad I bought it. Shower is great, it saves hot water/money, and I can't tell the difference between my old 2.5 and this one. In fact, I like it better! No one knows it uses less water, so no one is complaining, which is always a good thing!

Best 1.5 gpm shower head I've experienced,

When I was a kid, my dad installed a couple of low flow shower heads in the house. They produced a narrow cone of stinging water and a terrible shower experience. I was therefore skeptical of installing a 1.5 GPM shower head when the one in my bathroom recently began leaking at the joint. I found a 1.5 GPM unit at a big box home store that was reasonably priced with decent reviews on their web site so decided to give it a shot. It actually produced a nice feeling shower, but created an odd misting all around the main stream of water. This made it difficult to keep my eyes open when facing forward and I worried that the mist would feel too cool in the winter. Back it went. I ordered this Alsons unit based on the overall positive reviews, but was concerned that it may too exhibit the misting around the edges issue. I'm happy to report "no mist" in my experience with this unit. It produces a nice spray that's just the right size and actually feels as though it has a bit of a massage pulse to it. I get just as good a shower as my old 2.5 GPM head in terms of rinsing, warmth, etc. and I'm saving a gallon a minute over the old unit. Can't beat that!

Saving Water never felt so good,

I was hesitant about purchasing a low flow shower head, but as my kids are getting older, their frequency of shower taking has increased, along with their shower duration. So I finally decided to install a low flow shower head, and after reading most of the reviews on Amazon, I decided on this one, and I'm glad I did. My kids noticed the new shower head, and commented that they like it, but don't even know that it's a water-saving device. We've only had it for two weeks, but both my wife and I also like it; not only because it saves water, but the shower head delivers equal or greater pressure than the full flow shower head we had. So saving water (and energy heating the water) never felt so good!
