I found out that the retailer, Alston, had provided us with the wrong diagram.

Everything you need to build a working guitar is in the kit (with the exception of the missing neck plate!), including strings and a 1/4" mono cable.

If I just sanded the contours smooth, I would sand through the binding in spots because it's off more than an eighth of an inch in places!

It was a good experience. Stained it and customized it to my liking. It's good if you want your own personal guitar. I wouldn't recommend it to picky people. But it was definitely good to me. I bought different colored pick guards and electronics covers and stuff cause I didn't like the color of the stuff that came with it. But it was good.

Overall good product for the money. The body needed considerable sanding to clean up left over glue spots. Glue spots could not be seen until the body was stained or cleaned with a wet/liquid, but all spot came out without problems.
Overall all the parts fit very nicely. Excellent neck to body fitment.
The maple top had a very nice pattern and once stained it looked very nice.
The binding was good.
Routing for the wires was good.
About the only thing that was a bit disappointing was the back of the body. The multiple pieces were of very different grain and color so the only option was to paint to get a uniform color in all the pieces.
I would buy another product from this buyer again.

there are not (pre-drilled holes for all electronics), there are no guide holes for the screws for the pick up mounting brackets.

I finished soldering the guitar, and started to play when I realized that it didn't work. I found out that the retailer, Alston, had provided us with the wrong diagram. I had to rewire the entire thing, and it took forever. This product wasn't worth all of the work that was put into it.
