Soft but knees go to side,
By Avid electronics buff "Engineer" (Cary, NC USA) - See all my reviews

The concept of Gel in kneepads is good but something must be done about the design so that my knees do not move to the side. Basically no matter what I do, my knees always end up on the side of the pads because of the hard face. What needs to happen is like the older foam type pads. Your knees must be cushioned but also allow the pad to compress under your weight so that your knees do not rotate to the sides. Basically, you use these with your knees never in the middle unless you keep your weight perfectly centered over your knees (legs have to be together). Obviously, you could not work like this.

Max comfort and reasonably priced,

Being a tile setter I have had different knee pads in the pass. The semi hard plastic on the front will not scratch wood floors like other knee pads do. And the gel make life easy on your knees. The straps do not cut into the backs of your knees like other brands. The one piece design assures you of this. A Great Product for professionals and home owners alike

Comfort is where it ends,

I am also a tile setter who decided on these higher priced pads. When your in one place and do not move these pads are fine. However when grouting, setting or even doing wet beds these will not do the job. I find myself almost falling over most of the day. I do not suggest these pads for anyone working on a flat surface. Maybe they'll work for gardening?

I use kneepads for many different tasks, from polishing the pickup wheels (parked on gravel), to gardening in loose dirt. Almost all the pads I've tried will provide adequate cushioning. I have two criteria that I use for assessing kneepads: comfort and security. By security, I mean staying attached where they are supposed to. The Nailers have a lip at the top that catches your kneecap as you stand and walk. They also use only one strap, rather than two. It seems that the upper strap on most pads pulls the kneepad down your leg when you stand. The Nailers don't tend to slip as much as many others I've tried. They still leave a little to be desired in that area, though. I'm not sure that anyone has yet built a kneepad that stays put reliably. The gel provides great comfort, but the hard cap is a bit wobbly on uneven hard surfaces, such as a ribbed pickup bed. Like most thick pads, they cause my legs to sweat under the pads. That's to be expected, but I wish it didn't happen. All in all, these are very nice pads for a reasonable price. I'd buy them again.

Gel kneepad,

found the pad really comfortable to walk in as well as when working on my knees. My old 2 strap pad hurt when I was in any position the single strap seems to help make the pad more comfortable. Lots of cushion that seems to keep its shape over time. I would buy it again. well made.

I am a tile setter by trade and spend on an average of six hours a day on my knees. As any tile setter out there would know, COMFORT is a big priority and these knee pads are very comfortable!! After my first full day in them my knees felt great! The only problem with them is that there seems to be almost too much padding as the cap of the kneepad seemed to turn sideways as I worked. Not alot that it was a problem and certainly not enough to be a nuisance. Anyways I would definately buy them again and would recommend them to any tradesman that spends a good part of there day on their knees!!!
