I am a big guy, these boots last me about 4 months and then the rubber on the base of the sole tends to rot out / erode to the point where they split.

I really liked these at first but the leather is cheap, and is not fully stained, I have scuffed them mildly and then have had to try to fill in the scuffs with shoe polish.

These shoes are lighter than most work boots. The leather is soft and shows creasing. I had to order these shoes twice because of sizing problems. They ran big; a whole size bigger. I had to pay shipping on both pairs, not to mention return shipping on the first pair. I asked UncleSams to refund me the shipping on the second pair, since I reordered. They have refused to credit me the shipping on the second pair. The boots themselves are not as comfortable as I would have liked them to be; maybe it's the fit. I am not extremely happy with this purchase but since I invested $26.00 in shipping costs I'm not about to spend another $10.00 to ship these back.
