Fantastic Boots,
By
This review is from: Altama Black Combat Mil Spec Boot (Apparel)
I have owned many pairs of Altama Mil-Spec combat boots over the years, and they have always performed well.
Pro: - comfortable - durable - highly resistant to water: - keep feet dry (triple stitching and full tongue keep water out) - resistant to the damaging effect of water - the wide lugs of the tread never pick up pebbles, and mud comes of easily - eyelets are very durable and are quick and easy to lace Con: - none to speak of These are almost the only foot-gear I wear.

Great,

If these boots cost $250 per pair they'd probably still be a deal. I think my previous pair lasted 10 years, about 12,000 motorcycle miles through all kinds of weather, camping, hiking, snow-shovelling, .. you name it. If you keep a coat of polish on them they'd probably last almost forever. Once they're broken in you don't even notice they're there. I only replaced the last pair because some piece of freeway debris cut a hole in them while riding. Spend the extra $10 for the mil spec leather, you're going to own them for a long time.

I've owned 2 pairs of these boots over the last 10 years.
When i was a civilan i wore them constantly. they went with me to d.c. atlanta, florida and british columbia. They took abuse and never failed me. Comfortable and durable. Years later i bought a pair out of pocket to wear in the army. The garbage they issued me couldn't compare. I wore them on many a 12 mile ruck march. I've worn jungles, corcorans, bellville, wellco and doc marten. This boot is allways near the top of the list. 2115|R3VFVH508402NQ;2115|R14DDQAHM4QEH9;2115|RBU1B6EA3CJZX;
