I've been in the military for 8 years, and have gone through probably a dozen different types of boots. These are the best combination of price, comfort, and durability. The pair I'm about to retire have been going strong for almost 4 years, and in those 4 years the only issue is one of the boot laces frayed. I wouldn't recommend these as extreme cold weather boots because they lack the insulation to keep your feet warm in a Korean/Alaskan/Upstate NY winter. But for weather that's warmer then freezing, these are extremely durable. They've done dozens of 3-6 mile ruck marches, and a couple of 12 milers without any issues with my feet. They've also held up well through two deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, so if you require a durable boot that breathes well, and is comfortable to move in all day, this is a great boot.

This is my second pair of boots from Altama and they are fantastic. They have re-designed them and these are just as good, if not better than my other pair! I highly recommend these boots! They're a great deal too.

i have had this boot for about 2 weeks, w/ absolutely no complaints at all... been in the service for 4 yrs and this is the most comfortable boot i have ever worn. there not meant for a lot of abuse up and down mts, but can hold there own for a lil bit. i would say these boots are meant mainly for fob and garrison life, but i will buy these boots again without a doubt, and would also recommend to all my troops.

lil extra info... "went on 6 mile ruck and just wore some thicker socks and didnt have a single hot spot on my feet."
