Product Description

Introducing the NEW UHP101 Earbuds from Altec Lansing....THE UPGRADER SERIES HEADPHONES! New MP3 players and other portable digital devices all come with headphones. The problem is, their quality may be an afterthought. After all, device manufacturers are into devices, not headphones. Thats why Altec Lansing developed the Upgrader series of headphones to give consumers a step up when replacing headphones. All Upgrader series headphone models are designed to offer great sound. But more than that, they provide a better, more customized fit for exceptional comfort.

5.0 out of 5 stars So far, so good, August 7, 2008
This review is from: Altec Lansing UHP101 Snugfit Earbuds w/ Memory Foam Pads (Electronics)
Some people collect figurines or autographs, I collect headphones. I'm not really an audiophile, so to be honest, most headphones sound pretty good to me. They do not all, however, fit well, and fit is where these Altec Lansing headphones excel, in my view.

I primarily use my 'phones when I'm working out, and I tend to sweat quite a bit. I've had Bose in-ear phones that popped out and got all staticky when they got wet (otherwise, they sounded great, though). Ditto on the popping out for my Koss memory foam ones and also for my Philips.

These Altec Lansings, on the other hand, stay completely put when I wear them working out. I don't even feel them in there. I can see why people THINK they don't fit, though, because at first it doesn't feel natural or secure at all. It feels as though they will pop out at any second, but in reality, they conform to the contours of your outer ear and they stay there.

They are very light and, as I said, I'm no audiophile, but I think they sound pretty good. And for the price, they sound and feel great.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Fit, Great Sound, June 27, 2008

I have average size ears and these fit just fine. They also stay put. Can't say much about wear and tear because I just got them recently. I don't know how you can wear out the foam that quickly unless you are constantly forcing these too hard into your ear.

The sound quality is also very good.

2.0 out of 5 stars Earbuds don't hold up., April 4, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Altec Lansing UHP101 Snugfit Earbuds w/ Memory Foam Pads (Electronics)
These earbuds had pretty decent sound but I had two big problems with them.
1/ They didn't fit quite right. Especially my left ear was irritated by these buds.
2/The padding wore out quite quickly around the edges leaving a hard plastic to irritate my ears.
