I got this mostly as a dock to charge my Palm Centro. I figured the connections were the same. I lucked out and it works just fine, hot syncs and everything. Now I can listen to internet radio though my phone no problem. The sound is not bad about what you would expect for a small set of speakers. I haven't tried the speaker phone but all things considered for the money this is a great deal. Palm wants a lot more for just a dock alone.

I am very impressed with the sound quality coming from such a small speaker system!! I'd say it has the fidelity of the more expensive Bose speaker docks, but is for those of us with the older Treo/Centro/Palmone handhelds. The pinout matches on most of the older Palm handhelds/smartphones. Just an FYI: this dock WILL work with the treo700w/wx smartphones. I don't know if the speaker function or charging work yet, but will try it out if I find some time. My advice is to buy it now, before they are all gone. This was originally $200 about 3ish years ago, now you can get it for just $9! I'm ending up buying a second unit, just in case; can afford it at only $9!

With the multitude of speaker docks for other devices, I longed to find one for my Lifedrive when I finally came across this one.

Brand didn't matter much to me but I was happy that this one I found was of a reputable speaker company, as everything in the description looks perfect to what I wanted.

Received it yesterday and spent the evening playing with it and I am so happy to have found it. The sound is excellent, loud and clear for such a small device. I've heard many "dock speakers" before (and so have the kids from their friends) and this blows everything away.

UPDATE:

It's been a few months and since then I've gone and found a second one as I'm still loving this speaker. I've set one in my bedroom and we use it to listen to music going to sleep and as my alarm clock in the morning.

At low volume, during the quiet of the night, the sound floods the bedroom and sounds better than the big stereo which I only use with the TV now but I'm considering getting the proper cables and setting it up to use these speakers.
