Alter Echo, is a hack and slash game. You control your character in the third-person view. Your character can transform into different creatures. There is the human form; where you fight with your sword and slash at enemies. There is the gun form; where you turn into a robot-like creature with a gun that shoots lasers and launches grenades. And there is a stealth form; it's like a lizard and you have the ability to crawl on certain surfaces and you can also turn invisable in stealth form.
There is a long tutorial that teaches you how to use each form. A cool power in this game is that you can freeze time, when you have enough energy orbs. While time is frozen, your enemies are unable to move, but you will be able to execute deadly combo attacks with whatever forms you have.

Pros:

+good sound effects

Cons:
-cheap shots from enemies
-gets difficult fast
-becomes repetative
-linear gameplay

overall an average game. Freezing time and doing
combo attacks are fun, but very difficult to pull off.
I was also very annoyed by the cheap shots from the
cpu enemies.

I first saw this game about a month ago, not really knowing that much about it. I looked around & saw some very good reviews, & so I got it.

I must say that this is one of the most original games I've played in a good long while. The screen distortion effects, time dialation concept (not too unlike "Bullet Time" effects) & just the whole game in general was well thought out, & even more brilliantly executed.

I hightly reccommend this game.

When i first watched the demo's of Alter Echo i wasn't sure of it and now it seems to become an exciting game!! You can freeze time which is really cool because you can plan your own attack layout, and try using your stratgic side of you to deck and anhilate the outher opponants! over-all this game is great and is worth the money and it is fun playing it over and over again!
When your on the organic planet you can morph into three modes stealth(that let's you be invisible basically and jump to outher places and climb almost anything!!You also can be in melee mode or gun mode! In melee mode you can unleash your sword and be a big part in this game by using your freeze ability!
Also when your in gun mode you are a tank and basically have fun and blow up hordes of guys!! it's a great game !
And when they say you can morph on the fly there not joking, when your jumping from place to place you can morph in mid-jump and surprise the enemy!! you should really think about getting this game!

The box and the title page was not original and was actually from somewhere like Hollywood video. Bad quality. Came in when it was supposed to. But I cannot even resell this if I wanted to.

I bought this because of it's different game design. Over all it's a typical linear-action/adventure game but it has some jewels. It's challenging an only 'easy' if you use the health cheat code. Ounce you master the Time-Dilation mini-game its fun and needed if you want to beat the finial boss.

The end of the game is intensely-awesome because so much of the game-play changes. You end the game with a 3 part boss fight thats hard, But when you beat Paavos you get to "Finish Him" with what looks like a 2 minute Ultimate Technique!!!! (Ninja Gaiden Black)

This game is great its got cool moves and every thing! Buy this game its chep and it is worth it. I liked the controls and the game play and the music. This game is great!

I got this game yesterday and like the cover said " A mind blowing action game." but take my word GET THIS GAME! The only guy I know that has this game ME ONLY ME!I bet no one is reading this! LOL look at my age I'm really 10 .
