What I look for in a book is not always necessarily the content, but that it inspires in me. This book was full of both; inspiration, techniques, and even resources. I had to opportunity to take a class from this lovely artist and found her to be sincere and genuinely excited about art, not only hers, but others. I highly recommend this book, it never get's boring. When I am feeling stuck. I just pick it up and I am instantly inspired!

This book contains a plethora of fun-to-make and unique projects which are sure to appeal to those who love art dolls, the circus and nostalgia, in general. It is an absolute delight to the senses.

The step-by-step tutorials are easy to follow. Discover new techniques for creating assemblages, fantasy-based altered art and other magical projects utilizing items such as glitter, crinoline, crepe paper, found objects and household items.

A sampling of adorable vintage images/clip art is also included at the back of the book for the reader to use in their projects. In addition, a gallery of inspirational works from other artists helps to get the reader's creative juices flowing. I am pleased to say that I am featured as a guest artist in this wonderful book. Even before I was asked to participate, I was a longtime fan of Lisa's whimsical and delightful creations.

Be warned - you may become addicted to the eye candy in this book. Before you get started crafting, grab a cup of tea and spend time pouring through the beautiful images contained within. It's one of those kinds of books that you will enjoy referring to time and time again.

OMG! So this is my favorite altered art/mixed media book yet! I have bought several ALTERED ART CIRCUS books over the last 6 months for other glittered girls and they also have been in awe!! I just recently met Lisa and she is as wonderful as her glittered filled circus characters! The book is fabulous, the directions are easy to understand and thorough... plus she gives you the "room" you need to add your own twist on items... LOVE IT!! The entire book is filled with a fantasy land that will captivate you for hours... the author, Lisa, is just as colorful as her book... meeting her made the book even better for me! BUY IT!!! LOVE IT!!!

I have known Lisa (the author)for several years. She always had a wonderful capacity for creating beautiful dreamlike art. In this easy to follow instructional book, you too can explore artistic fantasy where there aren't any boundries. Too many so called art books seem to show only limited ways of creating where Altered Art Circus allows you to find the artist inside of you. This is truly a fantastic book.

I just got this book yesterday and I love it. I would highly recommend it...its way more than circus art, the projects are soooo cute, the free collage sheets at the back are great, and the projects and photo's are very inspiring! I love the Marie Antionette idea's and have to say this is my most fav art book I have bought in a while!

I finally received my copy of this book and it quickly has become apart of my favorite books collection. All the projects in here are easy to follow and allow for your imagination to soar. They can be made simple or done up as elaborate as you want, each one telling a story of their own. This is a must have for your art book library.

Finally a craft book with products that are not out of fashion, outdated, or with companies that are out of buisness! It's a NOW book for today's crafter!

Altered Art Circus is the result of Lisa's journey into the world of art world, and I am honored to own it. Each page is filled with projects, easy to follow instructions, techniques and facts, along with stories which appear throughout that set the mood of the project and add to the magic of the whole book that Lisa has created for all of us to be inspired by and to re-create for ourselves.

I highly recommend this book to all, from the artist, designer and crafter to the person looking to add a little extra artful magic into their daily lives.

From cover to cover this was truly a hard book to put down. It not only stimulates your imagination, and brings you back to your childhood years, but lets you live the fantasy, dream world, that all grown ups want to live on a daily basis. Lets face it folks, this is a clear sign of someone who has found their passion, clearly reeks of talent and is living the life that was "meant to be". This is a must have for your art library...what are you waiting for???? To sum it up, Lisa has already moved on in thought, for a more powerful, captivating #3 book, and we are all just chomping at the bit to get our hands on it.....

This is a really fantastic book with projects for every skill level, wonderful photography and some truly unique ideas. Highly recommended for the fairy lover, mixed media artist and fun loving creative types.
