Altered Ego is the final version of my CD, Alter Ego, which was initially released, in a limited, signed run of 2,000 copies. It's too easy to see CDs as commercial product. I want to treat them as works of art-art that will change as I change. This CD is a reflection of vast musical styles, ranging from funk to blues to pop to folk to calypso to improvisational jazz, making it gloriously impossible to categorize.

There are some cd's in life that you must own. Listen, and own, for the pleasure of having a Musical Treasure in your collection. This is one of those few cd's: an amazing ensemble of gems, ranging from blues to jazz to classic, all gathered by the mastery of Deborah's harp. If you don't know Deborah Henson-Conant, you'll be simply amazed at how she redefined this so far "classical and mellow" instrument, the way only a musical genius of innovation can do. If you know her, well,

then this Treasure is surely already in your collection, as it gathers the best of the best of her production. So, go and get it, open your ears, and just wonder!
