There are two different camps in wearable art, the home sewer-crafter group and the artist group. This book definitely covers only the home-sewer crafter group and will not satisfy those who want to become wearable artists, producing works fit for art galleries, art museums and major art to wear fashion shows. However, for a young person just starting out in making his or her own clothes and accessories, it may be too early to tell which camp he or she will ultimately join. Thus, the book is good for this person too.

This author likes remaking denim clothing and using fake fur so if you do not like that kind of fabric choice, don't get this. Personally, I do not like her sense of style but that is a very individual thing.

I am in the artist camp of wearable art so this book does not fit me very well. This does not mean it is not good but it does mean that if you are also in the artist camp, you are probably not going to find this book worth the money. I took it out from the library and if you are an artist, I suggest you do the same.

Good info for "green" people to recycle those jeans. Not too many clothes, but lots of accessories. Well recommended for the crafty person.
