If you haven't tried Alterna's hemp seed thickening compound, you're missing a treat. I have fine hair which needs all the help it can get and this product does the trick. The ship time was fast and packaging was more than adequate.

I have used every styling product out there and none can compare to this one. While it is called a thickening compound, it also adds light styling hold and softness. It is on the expensive side, but I always come back to it and have become dissatisfied with all other products. When I use this, I can just style my wet hair and let it dry on its own.

I recently had my long, fine (aka wispy) hair cut short after wearing it in a pony tail for about 15 years. The stylist used this on my hair before blowing it out and it made a big difference. I use it in a couple ways - put it on wet and blow dry it followed by a small amount of the Hemp hair concrete to style it. Some days I put it in wet and let it air dry and then ruffle it out with my fingers for a more toned down "messy" look that still holds reasonably well. I like this better than some of the more aggressive gel type products that lock your hair in place.

I have thin, fine hair and was hoping that it would texturize the hair somewhat. It didn't at all. It smells nice but for what it's supposed to do, I say no.
