Being a bona fide product junkie, I have searched high and low for a truly unique shampoo and conditioner. I have finally found it in Alterna's Ten shampoo and conditioner. I received a free sample with an order and could not believe the difference it made in the appearance and feel of my hair. I have always used expensive salon products including Phytologie and Kerastase, but this product makes them seem like cheap grocery store finds by comparison. I have long fine hair that has been chemically treated and this product in no way weighed it down. If you are looking for a shampoo and conditioner that will deliver silky, shiny, gorgeous hair, give this product a try.

At first, after spending over $100 for both the shampoo and conditioner I was not so impressed. I have medium length, fine hair and found it made it almost too soft with less body. After using it for a couple of more weeks I was in love. It has really improved the condition of my high-lighted hair. I only use it once a week and find its the perfect amount for my hair type.

After a summer of sun and lots of coloring, my blonde hair was looking pretty damaged. My friend who works at a salon, suggested this line, gave me sham/cond. samples and said i'll never use anything else again. I went home right away and tried it out...i couldn't believe it!! My hair looked 100x better!!! It was a total transformation. It felt great in my hair and it smells amazing! The price is very steep, but i'm hooked and i can't wait to try the mask!!!

I really did. I've been using both the Science of Ten shampoo and conditioner for about a month now, and sad to say, I think they're just OK. I don't notice any staggering improvement in the condition of my hair, though believe me I tried. I don't have particularly unhealthy hair, but it tends to be a bit on the dry side. I feel like this not only didn't solve that, but was actually less moisturizing than a million other, infinitely less expensive things I've tried. It's not terrible, but it's nothing special on my head.

The holy grail it is not, at least for this user.

Another thing is the smell -- it's not horrendous, but it reminds me of Ojon, the only shampoo I ever threw away because the scent made me gag.

So, it was worth a shot. I'll try the Caviar line next; Alterna makes amazing products and it's possible that this is the best thing on earth for other people -- just not me. C'est la vie. Or, c'est le cheveux I guess.

I purchased this product because I was in Europe a few months ago, and even though I had a converter for my Flat iron, there must have still been some sort of electrical problem because my flat iron got so hot that it badly burnt my hair and then melted. So, I was left with severely damaged hair (gets very kinky and coarse when wet). I have been using this product for about a month and I think it is helping. Granted, my hair is not back to the way it was, but I honestly don't think that any product could help it. I bought this item along with the conditioner and hair masque. I previously had bought Joico K-Pak for my damaged hair, and I definitely think that this product works better. However, I don't know if I would spend this much on shampoo if my hair wasn't damaged.

My friend told me about this shampoo and I thought she was a little crazy because it was so expensive. I have been using it for about 3 months and my hair is healthier and I am very happy with the results. I would recommend using the conditioner with the shampoo. I also would recommend this product to anyone since I have seen such great results and am very happy with how my hair feels and looks.

This shampoo is amazing - I didn't get sick of it - I just had to give it up due to price. It makes your hair feels stronger, softer and healthier. I felt like I was spoiling my hair with it!

Okay, understand that I really hate my hair - always have...on a good day, it tends to do a kinky, dry impression of a Brillo pad, waving in the breeze.

This Alterna shampoo made a surprising difference to my hair - at least as much as anything else I've ever tried. No, it's not a magic transformation into the hair of my dreams, but after only a week, my hair feels smoother, less dry with a better texture and much more of a tendency to stay where I put it. As someone who has tried nearly everything, I'm really impressed - definitely worth the price.
