The Heel Turns With the Eyes Closed...,

This book was just plain NEATO (those in Amazon-ville familiar with my normally vitriolic, venomous, virulent, and verbose voice should appreciate the utilization of the slangy adjective--now, bugger off and let me resume my snarling without perturbation!!), but, unfortunately, there are a handful of bad stories contained in the mix. Who ordered the outlaw Agatha Christie story!? Who insisted upon the inclusion of a wayward Francis Bacon tale?! HEMINGWAY GONE HAYWIRE?!? Skip those misfires and proceed directly to the following stories: "Good Girl, Bad Dog", "The Ballad of Richie Valenzuela", "Red Elvis", "Miranda", "The Crimson Rose", "Souvenirs", "Giving Head", and "Satan Claus". Some suggestions for a sequel, Mr. Resnick---a criminal Captain Marvel (SHAZAM!) and a criminal Hulk Hogan (before he commenced his sinister ways in '96). Okay, I am done...
