Did anyone edit the writing?, September 18, 2008
This review is from: Alternate Data Storage Forensics (Paperback)
There actually is much good and useful information in this book. But it appears to have been rushed to press without editorial diligence (see Chapter 4, for example). The chapters Amber wrote reflect her depth of knowledge and experience, but also lean toward the company she heads up; and the reader will recognize the bias -- yet a not-altogether bad one. If there will be a second edition that is greatly "cleaned up" it would improve the price/value relationship. Try it again Syngress!

A Great Read For All Levels, July 17, 2008
This review is from: Alternate Data Storage Forensics (Paperback)
I had a chance to peruse this book recently. I found it to be a great primer for cell phone and iPod forensics. This is a rapidly changing and evolving field. This book will give you the basics to understand the forensic approach to cell phones and and iPods. Beginners through Advanced users will benefit from this book. I bought this for my forensic library and would recommend it to anyone.
