An Effective Spiritual Healing Resource,
By
This review is from: Alternative Healing, The Sufi Way (Paperback)
Alternative Healing - The Sufi Way - I found this book to be extremely effective in its content - specially if you are a Sufi and are inclined towards healing. The healing techniques are very traditional and centuries old that provide immediate relief if followed as recommended. A must have for everyone who would like to heal others, as it covers from special methods, diagnosis, of specific ailments like cancer including protection and security from the unseen world with the help of geometric diagrams (Taweez). I did put one geometric diagram to test and was amazed. The author primarily focusses on the spiritual aspects of the healing techniques in quite detail. The book has a lot of healing secrets in the form of techniques revealed which are quite fascinating when you try them. Lastly, the author Shaykh Taner's Chicken Rice Soup recipe in the appendix section was a real life saver during flu. Its a highly recommended reading and a good investment for long lasting spiritual well being for you and your family at a fraction of the price. Was worth an addition to my bookshelf.

Wonderful recipes for healing,
This review is from: Alternative Healing, The Sufi Way (Paperback)
Along with the many remedies for a variety of ailments, the book includes some wonderful tea and soup recipes. Shaykh Taner's Chicken Rice Soup and an immunity booster soup "Pacha" are our family's favorites during times of cold/flu. There is a typographical error for the chicken rice soup: 12 cups of water are needed. It's a wonderful resource book full of useful knowledge!

This book contains remedies that clearly come from a powerful traditional source. Our daughter was suffering from nightmares almost every night, and it was very distressing. The very FIRST night we used the remedy for nightmares given in this book, they stopped. She has been clear of them since then, with only one bad dream in months. The book is full of remedies that are straightforward and well-explained. It is far beyond your typical self-help book, and is definitely a manual stemming from a real lineage. Thank you to the author for making this knowledge accessible!

An important contribution a small but growing genre of Islamic Literature in the English Language,
By
This review is from: Alternative Healing, The Sufi Way (Paperback)
This book, composed by an living authentic spiritual master and by extension of his spiritual mastery, a master of the arts of healing, presents a brief synopsis of the vision/reality of these arts, and the various methods employed in the Sufi approach to healing various ailments from the spiritual, psychological, to the physical, even social ailments like marital discord, poverty, and tyranny. Thus, this work joins the small but growing collection of books on the subject of Sufi Healing Arts, and for those that have a keen interest in this subject, or interest in introducing yourself to the Sufi Healing Arts, cannot afford to miss out on the sagacious advice Shaykh Ansari shares.
The advice stems from the cosmology of the Islamic worldview, which essentially correlates various hierarchies with the various dimensions of manifestation into a unified whole, grounded within revelation, hence all remedies proffered by Sh. Ansari are replete with references to the Quran as formulaic means of healing. Therefore, along with techniques of diagnosing a seen or unseen ailments and methods of healing, Quranic formulations are presented with the original Arabic, transliteration, and interpretation into English. In doing so, the work becomes accessible to a wider audience. Nearly four dozen ailments and their means of healing are discussed; similar ailments to one degree or another, have been explicated in other books on same the subject. However, what may distinguish Sh. Ansari's book from its predecessors are the latter chapters on Jinn possession, its exorcism, and sorcery; and about sixty pages of talismans complementing the ailments discussed in earlier chapters. Therefore, Sh. Ansari provides the western reading audiences perhaps one of the rarest overviews of the full scope and range of the Sufi Healing Arts as a practical guide. However, and in closing, Sh. Ansari stresses early on his book and throughout periodically, the importance of any practitioner of the Sufi Healing Arts to be initiated into a Sufi order itself, to be connected to an authentic Spiritual master since from a metaphysical point of view, the essence of Sufi Healing Arts is about spiritual energies which reverberate on the various levels of manifested planes, and concentrating these energies to the patient in need. Thus, only through an authentic spiritual connection, where those energies are amplified and focused, regulated with the spiritual exercises dictated by the Master, can this practical guide be of veritable use.

I bought this book thinking it would have some herbal remedies and ethnic cooking recipes for healing. Ok, it has a few recipes, some of which are incorrect. But other than that, its TRASH. Some of the instructions are to print copies of certain ayats and wrap them around your head, reciting the ayat until the headache goes away!! Different ayats for different ailments, etc. While it says to do that, there's not even any accompanying recipe or herb to go with it. I'm sorry, but had I known that's what I was buying, I never would have purchased it. I've already packed it back up. It will be returned tomorrow for full credit.
Don't waste your money. Find a good ethnic cookbook and some probiotics instead.
