Product Description

This is an ayurvedic herb used for diabetes and as a digestive tonic. It functions to block the absorption of sugar in the intestinal tract. It has been able to help regenerate or repair pancreatic beta cells. This herb is used in weight reduction programs, to help defend against tooth decay, to restore pancreatic function, for diabetes and alcoholism. It has also been able to remove sugar from the pancreas, stimulate the circulatory system, increase urine secretion and activate the uterus. Other uses: swollen glands, cough, and fever. It has also been able to lower triglycerides and cholesterol. Furthermore, the gymnema acid functions to paralyze the taste buds on the tongue which sense sweetness. Then the taste receptors for sugar are occupied by the gymnema and sweetness is not tasted. The effects are temporary but long enough to help the individual control a "sweet tooth".

Not very strong

I bought this and a smaller bottle from a different company. The differences between the two are incredible. This version appears much more diluted and has a more chemical taste, probably from the alcohol it says it contains. The other brand does not have that in their blend. I was wanting a large amount of this herb, as it really does stop you from being able to taste sugar, and this was the largest bottle I could find here on Amazon. It just is no where near as effective as the other brand.
