About the Author
Jerry Scott is the writing side of Zits and Baby Blues and has received a Reuben Award for Outstanding Cartoonist of the Year by the National Cartoonists Society (NCS). He lives in Malibu, Calif.Jim Borgman is the only cartoonist to win the NCS's Best Editorial Cartoonist Award five times, as well as a Reuben Award for Outstanding Cartoonist of the Year in 1993. He lives in Cincinnati and draws for the Cincinnati Enquirer.

Rick Kirkman and Jerry Scott have delighted fans and impressed the cartooning world since the strip launched in 1990, and the passion continues today. Rick calls Phoenix, Arizona, home. Jerry, also the cocreator of Zits, lives in central coastal California.

I've read all the anthologies, and this one ranks as one of the top-two for the series. There are many enjoyable subplots and less individual strips that were missing from the last collection, and caused the previous anthology to be a cut below par.

Scott and Borgman bring us another brilliant collection of Zits. If you're not already a fan: it centers on Jeremy, a perfectly normal, irrational, insightful, clueless, hormone-addled, fifteen year old. He navigates the incomprehensible world of parents, girls, and the world in general, with the cheery self-centeredness you might expect.
Somehow, Scott and Borgman take this improbable universal and bring it to life, as only the best of comic writers can. They use surreal shifts of mindscape to illustrate the teenager's baffled and baffling view of the world, but with a foundation of empathy for Jeremy that keeps the tone affectionate. And, as long as the world has teenage boys in it, they'll have an endless source new confusion to work with. - wiredweird
