I've read all the anthologies, and this one ranks as one of the top-two for the series. There are many enjoyable subplots and less individual strips that were missing from the last collection, and caused the previous anthology to be a cut below par.

Enjoy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Huge fun, November 6, 2009
This review is from: Alternative Zits: A Zits Treasury (Paperback)
Scott and Borgman bring us another brilliant collection of Zits. If you're not already a fan: it centers on Jeremy, a perfectly normal, irrational, insightful, clueless, hormone-addled, fifteen year old. He navigates the incomprehensible world of parents, girls, and the world in general, with the cheery self-centeredness you might expect.

Somehow, Scott and Borgman take this improbable universal and bring it to life, as only the best of comic writers can. They use surreal shifts of mindscape to illustrate the teenager's baffled and baffling view of the world, but with a foundation of empathy for Jeremy that keeps the tone affectionate. And, as long as the world has teenage boys in it, they'll have an endless source new confusion to work with.

I am a mother of 5 grown children with grandchildren in their twenties, and I devour ZITS. This kid is SO funny. The thing I noticed is it is multigenerational, because at 70 years of age, I can remember many of the same attitudes and situations when I used to think my parents didn't know anything.
Truly a hilarious look at LIFE from a perspective that crosses age and sex lines to appeal to everyone.

4.0 out of 5 stars Destress, February 18, 2009

I feel that this copy of Zits really distresses me by making me laugh so hard. I reminded me of the things my parents would say to me when I was his age. Good book!

Whenever I visit my grandson, all I can think of is ZITS. I find the cartoonist amazing and wonder how he manages to spy on all the homes with teen boys. Great chuckles.

5.0 out of 5 stars Totally relevant to everyone, December 23, 2008

If you're a parent, this book is for you. This book is going to help you find out what your teenager is thinking, and how they think.

If you're a teenager, this jokes in the strips strike so close to home it's impossible not to laugh. For example, having high school fantasy about girls, or guys, or teachers!

I think every teenager and parents can relate to Zits. It's almost like a documentary, told in panels, to the point of déjà vu.

I also love the art drawn by Jim Borgman as well.

I've all series of Zits treasuries, and will buy if there are more in the future.

This particular book contains comics from the two individual books, Are We Out of the Driveway Yet? and Rude, Crude, and Tattooed.
