This is a common sence book for people suffering with back pain who are looking for altenatives to conventional medical treatment. The book is broken up in easy to read chapters that are filled with ready to use advice for anyone who is dealing with back pain. The book also explains the difference between the chiropractic treatment for back pain versus conventional medical treatment. The book is a simple and easy to read guide that will help anyone easily understand the cause of their low back pain, how to treat it and how to keep it from happening in the future. A few of the topics covered by Dr. Conway are:
~ 10 Danger Signals That Cause Low Back Pain

~ How and When To Use Ice or Heat
~ Can Back Injuries Be Prevented?
In every book store in America 99% of the books written about back pain are written by medical doctors. I figured it was time that a doctor of chiropractic threw in his two cents on the subject, commented Conway.

Editorial Reviews

Review

Dr. Conway was a life saver for me and my family. I was able to use the tips that were offered throughout the book the day I picked up the book. The chapters are broken up in small easy to read blocks of information that was perfect for me because the other books on back pain were geared towards tradtional medical treatment.

Much of the book explains the difference between 'regular' treatment and how chiropractors treat back pain. Having back pain I now understand the difference on chiropractic treatment and care that I recieved from my medical doctor. It was the first time that I fully understood the difference between the two differnt type of healing arts.

The other thing that I liked about this book was the fact that he is a practicing doctor who is offering real time advice. Rather than doctors giving an opinion from their desk, Dr. Conways advice is advice that comes from his daily practice. -- reader for Pennsylvania

I thought it was very good, very informative and very easy to read. The book filled in a lot of gaps for me to persue a new way of treatment rather than the traditional forms of treatment.

The book takes complicated ideas and makes them very simple for everyone to understand. Because of its simplicity I have recommended it to all my new patients. Going to a chiropractor can be a new experience for many people and by reading this book the patients seem to get a better understanding of what chiropractic treatment is really about.

Dr. Conway has taken complicated material and broken it down into easy to understand topics that even a third grader can understand. -- Dr. William Newhart

This is the first book written that is broken down in sections that explains pain on a level that I can understand. I really appreaciate that fact that Dr. Conway wrote this book with the patient in mind. His tips on prevention have already helped me with my pain and now I finally understand how to help myself.
