Phat Alto Sound,

This CD is Butter! The sophomore release by alto man Bruce Williams as a leader (the first was Brotherhood) showcases not only his beautiful round tone and technique but a depth of emotion not usually offered to the listener in this age of cool young lions. He literally screams through his horn. On another track you can hear him whisper gently. Up tempo numbers as well as ballads will have you on "random repeat" all day. This young saxophonist has a lot to say and this CD is just the preface.
