Well, we have had this for only a few months and it has fallen apart! When I was putting it together, I noticed how cheap it was made...it was seperating - and it's all particle board. We have this in my daughters room with only a FEW books on the bottom shelf. It does not come close to maxing the weight recommendations. Well, last week I noticed the bottom shelf is wrecked and the 2nd shelf is falling apart. What a complete waste of money. Save your wallet and buy something that is actually wood for this price or just go to Wal Mart and get something. Wal Mart quality will surpass this junk..... :(
