I've had these gloves for several months now, and they've held up well under light use. These gloves, at two pounds each, are heavier than the candy-colored weighted gloves you see packaged with workout DVD's. As a 200+ pound guy, these require a fair amount of effort to move, but not so much that my form suffers or I tire halfway through my workout. The weight is mostly located on the back of the hand, which keeps it from jerking my arm around, and allows me to close my fist if necessary. The wrist strap is thick and sturdy, so the gloves don't slide around during a workout.

Side notes:
* The product description says these are adjustable; as far as I can tell, they are not. It wasn't a factor in my decision, but that seems like it could be important to some folks.
* Also, I can see what some of the ladies are saying about it being shaped for a man's hand. For me, this was a good thing, as many other weighted gloves are too tiny for my big mitts, but ladies might find that this product fits oddly. You really won't know for sure until you try them out, so just make sure you have the option to return them.

These gloves appear to be very high quality. Please note the contradiction in the product webpage. The Product Description describes these gloves as adjustable in 1/2 pound increments up to 2 pounds. They are not weight adjustable. In the Product Features section it states that each glove is 2 pounds. I purchased these with the expectation that they could be adjusted and because of that I am disappointed with the product and Amazon's inaccurate description.

I'm a woman with fairly large hands and wrists, so I bought a pair of S/M gloves to use as additional weight for my toning exercises. (The gloves made for women tend to have a lighter weight than I need.) These gloves swallow my hands. If it were not for the velcro wrist straps, they wouldn't stay on at all. As it is, they move around enough to be distracting. I don't like having to divide my attention between doing my exercises with proper form and keeping my gloves in the proper position. I also feel that I have to be careful with them because the material covering the palms doesn't seem particularly sturdy. The 4-pound weight is very convenient, and I like the fact that the gloves don't completely encase your fingers. Perhaps this product is just what someone else is looking for, but it doesn't fill the bill for me. Definitely not a good product for women.

UPDATE: I need to add that I also had two males try these on and they felt the fit was too loose, particularly in the fingers. Both also complained about the movement of the weights being a hindrance to proper form. Additionally, the gloves started coming apart rather quickly because the overall construction is sub-par. I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone.

Purchased a pair of these gloves for both my wife and myself. They are great!! Fairly even weight distribution makes them comfortable to wear. Also the bean bag style of weights in them almost mold to your hand. My wife loves hers too...all she does is wrap her hands in cloth wraps and the gloves fit perfectly. The gloves really don't move around too much at all. The weights are not adjustable, nor do I see any pockets. But still, an all around great glove for those who want a weighted glove!!!

The outer shells have all ready peeled off. The pair I ordered was the small and they feel too large and do not stay in place. I have fastened the straps as tight as they will go. Overall, poorly made.

I've tried a few weighted gloves over the past two years. These are by far the best ones for kickboxing routines like Taebo, et al. Great stiching and fairly comfortable.

These need to be made in smaller sizes. My size small/medium should fit perfectly according to sizing info, but they are really loose around the palms and back of hands plus the stretchy material does nothing to keep the weights in place. Not recommended for aerobic workouts or you'll end up with badly chafed hands from the weights moving around. Also not washable.

These are good gloves, yes, but it ha come to my attention that THEY DO NOT LAST.
I went through 2 pairs of gloves from this company and I am disappointed on how they are made. If you as ever drop them, be prepared to have a hole in the glove where the insides start coming out and spilling all over the floor. I thought I had a bad pair but then when my second pair broke on me, I was done with these. They are so useful until they brake. Both my pairs broke after using them for three months. I tried my best at keeping good care of the second pair of gloves but it failed to last. If you got the money to replace them after a few months, these are the gloves for you but if you want something that lasts, don't buy.
