Ball lasted less than a month (see photo under images),

I got this on sale at the local sporting goods store thinking it was a good deal for what was included (dvd, pump, ball, tape, gadget to help get plug out), but in less than a month the ball burst. Even before that I had problems with it holding air and keeping a round shape (sometimes it would look egg-shaped). I started to hear a little air leaking and then less than a minute later it tore open. Thankfully, I wasn't sitting on it! I definitely will not buy again.

I couldn't really decide which brand to buy, this being my first body ball, and starter balls all cost around a "Hamilton" plus a "Lincoln" (Amazon has a habit of taking out prices :P).
So basically it all came down to the size availability, and COLOR. I'm a guy so I didn't want a hot pink or purple ball in my house, especially with my decor, so this off-white ("Pearl") is the right color for me. I'm 5'7" (about 170 cm) and this 65 cm ball is the perfect size for me. If you're anywhere up to 5'4", I'd recommend the 55 cm ball, and if you're over 5'10" I'd recommend the 75 cm ball. You get what you pay for, so don't expect much (I see in other ball reviews people griping about very frivolous things). There are "premium" balls out there for a "Grant" or more if you want to splurge on what is essentially a thick and heavy beach ball.

I ordered this product TWICE. The first ball I recieved was the right size, easy to inflate, and exactly what I expected...until the next day. Overnight the ball looses a significant amount of air and has to be reinflated each day. I returned and replaced this ball only to find that the replacement product did the exact same thing. I thought I should warn other buyers before the go through the same hassle as I did.

The ball itself seems to be good quality and is exactly what I was looking for and the price was right. The DVD is one of those mini DVDs and is only about 15 minutes long. Also, they include a tape measure so you can inflate the ball to the correct size, however, they gave me the incorrect tape measure. I bought a 65cm ball and the tape measure must have been for the 75cm ball. There was no way that ball would inflate to fit that tape measure.

Garbage, Toxic Smell, No Quality Control,
This review is from: Body Ball 65 cm Pearl (Sports)
I bought this 65 cm exercise ball at my local sporting goods store and it smelled like a toxic chemical spill as soon as I opened the box. I mean it was awful, like I imagine the gas chamber at state prison must smell like when they're executing someone! Small wonder, as it's made in China with no quality control. The included foot pump was crap and the ball took forever to inflate... only to find out it was the wrong size (55 cm) an hour later! Rather than take a chance on a second Altus ball, I returned this garbage product for a 65 cm Everlast exercise ball, which a buddy of mine had and I knew was of good construction (despite also being made in China). Unfortunately, that ball was also the wrong size (55 cm) out of the box but at least it didn't smell like death. So I had to return the Everlast ball, too... and guess what? I made the salesman blow up three different supposedly 65 cm balls (another Everlast, a Valeo, and a Go Fit) and two of them were also only 55 cm big! It seems they were all using the same crummy Chinese factory to make their balls. However, the GoFit 65cm Professional Stability Ball was the correct size and has worked out well for me. I recommend it! It comes with a free 25 minute workout DVD.
Now imagine ordering crummy Altus, Everlast and Valeo exercise balls online and having to pay return shipping to exchange them, one after another, after another, after another, until you finally get the right one (if you ever do). Not fun.

The ball seems to do exactly as intended; it is the advertised size and we haven't had any issues with it deflating overnight. The description did not list an air pump, but one was included in the box I received. I chose this ball simply because of the neutral color, and I think the photograph is pretty accurate. The casing seems to be thick and sturdy, so I don't have any fear of it rupturing.

Use this with an Exercise ball base. It works best without but the base adds more movements. The ball was the right size.
