Altus Athletic Nylon Barbell Pad

This pad is made of soft foam that compresses down to almost nothing under signficant weight. Further, the padding is in three pieces inside the nylon sleve. The space between the strips always seems to work its way onto your spine effectively giving you no padding where you need it. There has to be a better product with denser foam in a single piece with no seams.

I was very disappointed with this product. I have used it a few times and already it is becoming flat and losing it's cushion. Compared to other similar products i have used this one is o poor quality

I can understand for heavy squats why this might split. However-for padding for bench presses of all angles-works well. So well I have had two stolen. Even with my name and phone number on the last one!

Ive only taken this up to 210 or so on my squats and the foam already broke. I can still use the pad, but I have to rotate it and be careful. I'd much rather have paid more for better foam.
