Product Description

This is the can crusher you've been waiting for. Brand New! IT HOLDS 10 ALUMINUM CANS! You load it up with cans, crush 10 of them in a row, and then reload. The cans fall out the bottom. I use a 5 gallon bucket to catch them. It is made of high tech reinforced nylon. Never needs painting! Mounts with 3 screws. Easy assembly too. Works way better than metal can crushers in damp or outdoor environments. Why? Because it can't rust! Check my Feedback to see how my customers love this tool. Most of the time your visitors will crush your cans for you because this thing makes the can crushing chore FUN! Recyclers rejoice as they can speed up their work. This also makes a great gift for friends or relatives. Especially great for tailgators and other beverage type get-togethers. I have had mine for about 5 years now. IT WORKS GREAT! Please note that I found out that United Kingdom cans may not fit as they are too big. As far as I know only American soft drink and beer cans will fit. A 16 oz. can will fit, but only one at a time. It will also crush the 12 oz. Coors cans which everyone knows is a little taller than other cans. You can pack them right in there and it crushes them great.

We purchased this crusher to aid our recycling efforts and then decided to let our two young (7 & 4 y/o) children keep the proceeds for spending money. Under close supervision, they operate this crusher. I installed it just a bit lower than the instructions indicate so the children could reach it better, but changed nothing else. They can successfully operate it, and in fact enjoy doing so.

The crushing ram works very well, and the unit feels solid for the purpose. If the feeder is not kept at least half full of cans the lowest one or two tend to stand on end when the ram is retracted to allow the next can to drop into place, which is a bit of a nuisance. Otherwise we have encountered no problems. Buckling the sides of the cans a little before trying to crush them does make crushing easier, as the directions suggest.

The picture and mounting descriptions given failed to adequately describe enough about the product to really understand before I held it in my own hands. The handle shown in the picture pivots from the end of an extended base below the can feeder. The handle hangs down from the base when the ram is retracted to drop another can in place for crushing and is lifted and then pushed toward the wall in a vertical semi-circular arc. The base is solidly molded to a vertical mounting plate that is secured to the wall (preferably on a stud). There is a short opening in the base, just in front of the vertical mounting plate, through which the crushed cans drop after each compression. A container (box or bag) in place under the crusher will catch the cans.

Nice product. Easy to assemble. Definitely worth the money.

It was easy to setup and it crushes well. I also like the space on the bottom where it falls out when it is crushed and I put a box under it to catch it. There are other can crushers out there which can crush one at a time which I have used before. This is more quick and more acurate in crushing it down and not popping out and easy to drop into a box. My only problem is that when you order it, the prices is right, just the shipping can increase the cost 50% or more depending on the place you are ordering from. If you can get a shipping cost of $5.00 or less, then I think it is a good deal. I just did not like ths shipping costs being so much. If it was at a local store, I would buy it without thinking twice because the tax would be much less than shipping.

I researched metal and composite plastic can crushers and wanted something that was more efficient than stomping cans with my feet. The single can crushers that crush cans vertically are usually cheaper or higher quality, but I decided I wanted something with an auto-feed type shute. The Dial Industries M92 Can Ram aluminum can crusher satisfies all of my needs.

Pros:
- Fast, efficient, shute-fed operation
- Large lever arm makes for easy crushing
- Cans drop at the bottom into a bucket or bag of your choice
- Easy to mount and assemble
- Strong, solid feel
- Cans crush to a very small profile
- Will crush a 16oz can if done singularly

Cons:
- Crushing mechanism starts off crushing at an angle
- Can can pop up if there aren't enough cans in the shute

If the can crusher worked 100% of the time, I would give it 5 stars, but the speed you get from being able to crush multiple cans is worth the occasional missed can, making it faster than any single crusher out there.

Overall, it works better than I suspected and I'm satisfied with it for the $20 I spent.

I purchased this product to help with our recycling efforts at home and to speed up the process of crushing cans. I was not impressed with the product out of the box but installed it anyway and used it for about two weeks before it broke. The plastic just doesn't hold up, I hope to find a metal type can crusher that will hold up longer than this one did.

I read other reviews and decided to try this can crusher. It works really well. For some reason I thought it crushed 10 cans at one time but it only crushes 1 can at a time. However, 10 cans fit in the hopper and once you start crushing the cans it moves really fast. Except for the screws, it is made completely out of plastic. Didn't think it would stand up to the constant crushing but so far so good. It's easy to operate and really gets the job done. Even the kids love to crush cans now. I recommend this product to anyone who wants a fast and efficient crusher.

I bought this last year for my father, he is a big time Coke drinker. And when I say big time, I mean the man has probably literally not had a glass of water in 15 years (but let's not get into a health discussion here).

Some years ago he grew concious of his effect on the environment from throwing away all these aluminum cans when he could be recycling them. The problem was he would line them up on the ground and crush them by stomping on them. Obviously this was a tedious task and he would let literally multiple hundreds of cans pile up in his kitchen, to the point you could not even set a plate down (he's an old timey bachelor, no reason to clean up).

Well I decided to take the initiative and buy this for him even though I had mentioned several times before he should buy some kind of crusher to simplify things. Since I knew he drank so much, this seemed like a much better solution over single can crushers.

Well since visiting his house I have had the oppurtunity to try this thing out several times whilst helping him clean up his home. I will load up a garbage bag with a couple dozen cans and go out and crush them.

It really is a remarkably simple device that provides much convenience. You can easily load up 9 or 10 cans as advertised, the plastic "cage" style basket lets you easily correct any cans that bounce up at odd angles. Takes maybe 10 seconds to load it and then you commence the crushing. I don't quite strive for 10 seconds, but it takes maybe 20 seconds at a leisurely pace, it actually is pretty efficient.

It's constructed of all plastic but that doesn't diminish the performance of the crushing. The "ram" part lifts up so you can insert elongated cans or to put that single can in.
